We help animals in dire situations such as running up and down highways or living in sewer systems. We work in areas that are too dangerous for original TNR programs, such as busy roadways, in neglected parts of the city, or in buildings scheduled to be demolished. We go the extra mile that other people and groups won't. We have years of personal experience with house cats, stray cats, feral cats,

abused & abandoned dogs, small animals, farm animals, and even a lot of volunteer work with wild animals and exotic animals. We are dedicated to bettering the lives of any animal that is unwanted or homeless. Through rescue, rehab, adoption and spay and neuter we strive to lessen the number of animals that suffer from abuse and neglect.We will treat every and any animal as family from the moment it comes in to our care and forever more. Any animal once rescued by us is welcome back any time later in the future, no matter what.

UPDATE: After 5 hours, yes, 5 hours! ☹️ We left not knowing anything. His blood work looked good. Not sure why such a high fever. It was over 106 while we were there! They sent him home with subq fluids to get every 12 hours. Thank goodness for a rescue discount! But we scraped the bottom of the barrel to pay ☹️

This is another reason we ask for your support. Earlier in the week we had Mama Survivor arrive with injuries. Today we are at the emergency vet with Waffles ☹️ He has a very high temp with no other symptoms. This visit won't be cheap, but we do what we have too. He even has an adopter already lined up 😊 Please consider a donation 🤞🏼

We got a call for help on Tuesday. There was a pregnant outdoor cat with injuries. She went to the vet Wed morning. Luckily they are not serious. However, being outside with these wounds could end up being serious. She is on antibiotics & safe INSIDE with ASHA now 😻 Her name is Mama Survivor. Say hi to Momma G - Good Gravy. Her kittens have flown the coop. She's an empty nester at a young age. Now it's time for her to spread her floofy feet and find her own way to a good home. Doc is a very affectionate 5 year old male cat available for adoption. He has had a unique journey in his life starting off being rescued off the streets of Baltimore City. He went into foster care with ASHA and was living with another foster cat who had been surrendered by her owner when she moved to Colorado. Low and behold, the owner of this cat decided she needed to get her cat back, and she asked if she could adopt her cat back (great news) and it was even better because she wanted a friend for her and asked if we had any cats that got along with her. We said yes - we have Doc! She came to meet him and fell in love with this handsome boy and adopted him. ASHA fosters flew with both cats on an airplane to Colorado to their new home. Ultimately, the owner had some circumstances change in her life and decided it would be best to keep it a one cat household. No worries - we took Doc back into rescue and promised to find him a good home. It’s been 7 months now and he has not even received one application!! ☹️ This friendly and talkative boy loves his people and other cats. He is a true catch but maybe is just being overlooked because of all the cute kittens we have up for adoption right now that are pulling on everyone’s heartstrings 😉

Doc has encountered dogs but seemed scared of them, but his foster believes with proper acclimation he could do okay with a dog. He’s a dream come true being the perfect combination of a big tough cat with a loving, soft side. He loves to snuggle and follow you around the house. He looooves food and he will definitely let you know when he’s hungry. Please apply on our website www.rescueandadopt.org if you want to take this sweet boy into your family.
