Mr. Maxie just had an amazing meet and greet adoption event at the MD Department of the Environment in Baltimore at Montgomery Park.
Everyone ofcourse loved him! He had 3 straight hours of scrirches, belly rubs, chin scratches, and all the surrendering he could get. He rolled around in his bed so much begging for pets that he almost rolled off the table. Again!
Fingers and paws crossed, we finally get a few applications for him!

Koora is still looking for an exciting home. She is a younger adult Torti who still has a lot of energy and loves playing. She is up to date on her shots and looking for her forever home. Give this sweet girl a look.
We didn't get many visitors today at the MDOT Charity Fair in Hanover, but the handful we did meet were all in love with Maxie!
He made his rescue debut with shy sniffs and cheek rubs. Trying to turtle and hide under his bed. Every time he would get a little excited, he cuddled and bonked into the wall of his play pen, scooting it closer to the table edge. After a little while, he decided it wasn't too bad hanging out and getting some affection, and he stated to kneed us some bread and biscuits 😍
Maxie has had a rough couple of months when his family faced eviction, Maxie and his sister went in to rescue. Shortly after, his sister passed away from health issues, which put Maxie in a state of depression. He refused to eat, and it took his foster mom a lot of out of the box ideas to get him to be interested in food again.
He's thriving again now, as you can see. He's fully vetted and looking for an amazing forever family!
It's time for Mayor's bath! Mr. Mayor is doing so much better.
He came in as a stray find at the Howard County Fairgrounds. He was likely dumped, as he is too friendly for someone to not be missing him :(
He required a dental to remove most of his teeth, and is still struggling with an infection in his mouth (stomatitis). He is on meds, and we hope it helps! But he drools a bit more now and baths help clean him up since he doesn't like to groom himself since his mouth sill hurts him.
This sweet little kitty can't wait to find his furever home or even a temporary foster who will take great care of him. He is what we consider a medical foster. He needs a little more care and consideration than other fosters may need. Compared to some though, Mr. Mayor is super easy! He is so sweet, takes his meds well, does great in his baths, and is a snuggle bug!
Consider fostering Mr. Mayor or a kitty like him to do your part in helping the rescued kitties!
Our newest intake is a boy!
Zimmerman is super sweet, eating well, and having good stools! He's gotten his blood drawn to check levels, and a fecal sent out, too. Next is to catch a urine sample. Other than some dental problems that need to be addressed later, he looks good for a 10+ yr kitty! Just need to keep him well fed, and he should be well again asap!
He is definitely a vocal kitty, telling us all about how awful crates are.
There are a ton of tuxedo kitties at the Petco in Ellicott City! They are the sweetest kitties! The three of them totally get along.
Pink, Pitbull and Van. Pink & Pitbull are siblings. Van is the last of his litter. Pink is the girl, the other 2 are boys.

Super affectionate. Always purring. Outgoing and curious. She's Grrrrreat with kids! Zoe is not a fan of dogs, but she could learn to love them with slow proper introduction. She is currently featured at Petco in Ellicott City!
Momma Darwin is perfect for quieter families with older kids or grandkids that visit. She loves to just chill and hang out, sunbathe, and nap. But she ALWAYS is down for a good brushing!
