Got a little dusting more of snow over the weekend and switched up to running bigger teams with Eva home to help out!
Skruff Negee
Willow Corgi
True Believe
Hopie
Cocoa
Dream Pache
Learning time:
And why - you may ask - are Hopie and Cocoa running solo?? Two reasons: the main one being that the other team is larger and needed the extra spots so we were lazy and didn’t want to switch out the gangline (rope that they are all connected to) and also it’s good to have the dogs run solo from time to time to get used to the feeling of running without a buddy incase you ever need to drop a dog in a race. They build independent confidence. Now obviously Hopie and Cocoa are confident enough (Cocoa exudes confidence and Hopie runs solo a lot because she’s a scrapper with her sisters 🙈) so this was more - we didn’t want to switch gangline!
There’s ❄️ in the forecast……..
Really hoping that it happens 🙏🙏🙏
Before all the toe drama, we did have a great boy run! This is the second run with Forest and Mir in lead and Forest is doing a great job of teaching his son how to run lead.
Knik is running team with Honor - one of his buds. Honor doesn’t get along with many boys but he likes Knik’s easy going attitude. Also a win for Knik in this video is that he’s running team! Knik is also in the learning stage - his is learning to have other dogs behind him. He doesn’t like it and prefers to run wheel. He did great here.
Forest, Mir, Brave, Knik, and Tug could all use co-sponsors for the season: https://divadogsracing.com/sponsor-a-diva/
This was two firsts:
1) Father Son leaders! Mir and Forest
2) All 8 of our boys running together! We are a predominantly female kennel and we have never had the guts to run all the boys together. Guts because the Inspire boys are scrappers but the Stowaways aren’t so we gave it a whirl!
Nice short run and if you recognize a voice - Eva was home to run this one with her boys! 💗🥰
Had to share this one from Instagram 😅
Solid Backyardigan Fans here!
Frost and Willow in lead!
Believe True
Raven
Dream and Negee
Happy November!!!
And as you can see we are very happy here! Finally starting fall training!
Here’s to many miles ahead and maybe seeing some ❄️ soon!!!
Throwback Thursday!
Baby Brave was nicknamed “Mr. whiney” because he was always making some kind of whining noise.
Hard to believe this was 6 years ago!
Brave is looking for 3 more co-sponsors for his 2025 race season! You can sponsor him here:
https://divadogsracing.com/sponsor-a-diva/
Brave is co-sponsored by the Rachel Morrison Family who have been proud sponsors for years! Thanks guys!!! 🥰🐾💗
Throwback Thursday!
Well if Eva wasn’t so little and she wasn’t wearing winter clothes, we could probably believe this video is current! 🤣 because Hopie is still this wild about seeing her favorite hooman!
Hope is a special kind of happy - as in - always!
Each Thursday we are going to travel memory lane and this one just happened to be first.
Hope is sponsored by the Gagner Family.
Have you met Hope? Fun fact: Hope has raced every long distance race (100+ miles) that Eva has!
Thankful Thursday!
Doing a little throwback to last week and Eva attending the Women’s Business Summit!
And sometimes you have to mess with the musher a bit…😏
Big thanks to NORTH DAKOTA and all her supporters. Like she says, “it takes a village to raise a kid, but it takes a state to raise a musher!”
