Clackamas Obedience Trials

A few facts about the Clackamas KC All- Breed Shows.

Our All-Breeds show will be held June 24/25, 2023. Specialties will be held June 22/23, 2023. The shows are held at the Clackamas County Fairgrounds and Event Center in Canby, OR. The Fairgrounds is over 100 years old, and power is very limited on the grounds. Our premium list should be available about April 14.

All the conformation rings are outside on grass. The grass is satisfactory but not perfect. Over the years we have spent considerable cash to improve the grass in various areas. We spent $3000.00 to replace the sod in rings 3 and 4 to eliminate the low spots. Unfortunately, when complete it was dug up to install a wired internet access point. The ring layout is very spread out over the length of the grounds.

Obedience/rally is held inside Ely Arena on hard packed dirt.

Our grooming situation has gone from mediocre to poor. For many years we used the livestock building, it lacked power but worked for grooming. When that building was lost due to age, we had the use of a large tent that was set up, it also lacked power but worked for basic grooming. Unfortunately, the fairgrounds set up a drive-in theater in that area, so we longer have the tent available to us and for 2023 the gravel area is not available to us. Check the Premium List for grooming details. If you need power to groom you will need to have your own generator.

Day parking is a bit spread out, there are 3 parking areas, 2 [Red and Blue] are located across the street from the main entrances and the third [Yellow] is located at the far end of the grounds. Watch Facebook for our map which will help you select the best parking location. The unloading zone this year will be in the red lot.

The RV overnight parking has not changed, lots of space with limited power available. We do not guarantee power. The fairgrounds have doubled the charge for overnight parking this year.

In 2023 we will not have Barn Hunt or Fast Cat, there will be a Farm Dog Test on Saturday.
