Our sweet Torvi girl. So good to be able to visit her earlier. Doctor feels comfortable enough to send her home this evening. She is up and walking and eating a little wet food too. The culprit was a sock which messed up her intestines some so they need to heal as well. Thank you for all the prayers and pawsative vibes. We really appreciate it. 🙏 ❤️🐾💕

UPDATE: Torvi was taken back into Pleasant Valley this morning. Upon arriving it was noted that she was showing signs of shock. In order to have surgery she needed to be stable. After a couple hours the Dr. Mike and staff were able to stabilize her and then surgery was performed. Surgery went well but she is not out of the woods yet. Her intestines need to heal. Torvi will be resting comfortably at MedVet so she can be monitored all night long since PV doesn't have all night hours. She will be on fluids, pain meds and anti-nausea meds. Please keep the puppy prayers coming. We/she needs them. Thank you for all the kind messages, text and calls. 🙏🐾💕

Puppy prayers for our baby girl Torvi. Two vet visits today due to an almost certain blockage. She was given fluids in hopes the material she ate will be pushed through. Tomorrow morning another x-ray to see if it moved. If not surgery for sure. Big thanks to Pleasant Valley Veterinary Clinic and Rivers Veterinary Urgent Care for taking such good care of our girl. 🐾❤️🙏🙏🙏

As many of you know I'm a total Carmel cream cold brew addict from Crazy Horse Coffee , but today I decided to switch things up because let's face it, scooping triple the p**p all week and getting soaked in the rain today was basically the universe telling me to try something new. So instead of my usual go-to, I decided to get a little wild and try one of their many teas. And oh man, that berry tea with honey was love at first sip and totally helped me shake off the chill. It's a must try!

Frostbite is a significant concern for dogs in freezing temperatures, so I never walk mine in such conditions. We also limit their outdoor playtime during cold snaps. Seeing people walk their dogs in extreme cold, like this morning's 7° temperature, is unsettling.

A "severely frostbitten" dog was brought to the Beaver County Humane Society
