Sweet Potato & Turmeric Chew Sticks for Dogs 🥔✨🐾
These Sweet Potato & Turmeric Chew Sticks are a healthy and chewy treat packed with natural goodness. Sweet potatoes provide fiber and vitamins, while turmeric offers anti-inflammatory benefits for your furry friend. Easy to make, these sticks are a perfect snack or chew for pups!

Ingredients:
1 medium sweet potato (peeled and grated or finely chopped)
1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric (dog-safe in small amounts)
1 large egg (for binding)
1 cup oat flour (or whole wheat flour)
1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for healthy fats)
1–2 tablespoons water (as needed for consistency)
Instructions:
Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Prepare the Dough

In a bowl, mix the grated sweet potato, turmeric, coconut oil (if using), and egg until well combined.
Gradually add the oat flour, mixing until a dough forms. Add water 1 tablespoon at a time if the mixture is too dry.
Shape the Chew Sticks

Divide the dough into small portions and roll each into stick shapes, about 3-4 inches long. For smaller dogs, create shorter sticks or bite-sized pieces.
Bake the Chew Sticks

Arrange the sticks on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until firm and slightly golden. For a crunchier texture, leave them in the oven as it cools for an additional 15-20 minutes.
Cool Completely

Remove the chew sticks from the oven and let them cool completely before serving.
Storage:
Refrigerate: Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week.
Freeze: Freeze for up to 2 months. Thaw before serving.

3 weeks. Very mobile and finding their voice.

2 weeks old now. Eyes are open, all have double blue eyes. They are more mobile, vocal and cute. I can now tell them apart. Each with their own unique markings and shades of coloring. Eventually I will bring them to share the cuteness at Midvalley Farmers Market
