Dr. Norton wanted to thank the sweet person who dropped off cookies yesterday to wish him a happy birthday and whoever sent over cookies last week as well. Our office will be closed for Labor Day.

Dr. Norton will be out of the office and we will be operating under modified business hours of 9am-4pm on Friday (16th) and Monday through Wednesday (19th-21st) while he attends the Western Veterinary Conference.

Can y'all please help me?

I got a direct message from someone (not a client) saying, "You are listed as emergency services yet you turn away a distressed patient with 'have a nice day!' . . . For shame!”

When I tried to ask more about what happened to see if I could clear up any misunderstanding, this individual blocked my message.

Has anyone seen us "listed as emergency" anywhere online? I have removed any kind of emergency descriptors that I was aware of, so I don't know where we might still be "listed as emergency". Even though we do of course try to help emergent patients whenever we are able, I would like to remove any"emergency" listings to prevent any future confusion.

If you have seen such listings, can you please let me know where so I can try to remove it? We try our best to be very transparent about our services and offer the best possible care, so this is eating at me.

Our holiday hours will be as follows:

Dr. Norton will be out of the office while his kids are out of school from December 21 through January 2. He will return to the office on January 3.

Our technicians will be available to assist you from 9am to 4pm on December 21, 27, 28, 29, and January 2.

The office will be closed on December 22, 25, 26 and January 1.

We will resume normal business hours on January 3.

I know I've posted before about the shortage of veterinarians throughout the country as well as about the overload and physical and emotional demand this shortage places on our profession. I would now like to draw your attention to a poor Google review we received today. If you have the time, please read our response so that you might be better informed of how we are working to meet the immense demand in our community. Please be sensitive to my momma bear side that might have peaked out a bit in my response. I really love and appreciate our staff and, of course, Dr. Norton, so I sometimes have to restrain myself a bit. And, thank you to all our wonderful clients who, through their patience, allow us to help others in need of care.
