Over these last few cold days the horses have stayed warm and happy! They received extra hay to keep them warm and possibly rounder.

With the cold temperatures I hope everyone is staying warm!! The horses are doing great and enjoying the extra food they are getting!

Winter is coming but remember we still are doing lessons as long as feel like temp is 30 or higher. If you feel the roads or weather are bad please let me know and we can reschedule. The barn owner keeps me posted amazingly on how the gravel is I can keep everyone informed. 😊

A few reminders to help stay warm:
* Lots of layers, I will not judge if you don’t match. If you’ve seen me at the barn in the winter I am warm but my outfits a bit strange. 😂
*Hand and foot warmers, they have also added back warmers!
* You know yourself/ your child best even if the temp is rideable if you or them think it’s still to cold that is ok! We can wait for a warmer day 😊
*Gloves, gloves and more gloves! Think they are in the coat? Better have spares packed in the car because we all know gloves disappear, where they go who knows 😅

I want everyone to enjoy riding and sometimes after the ride the horse cuddles are the best part

I am a lesson horse.
I am a horse that isn’t as recognized as the top hunter jumpers, the best western pleasure horse, or the 1D barrel horse, I am a lesson horse. I am the backbone of the foundation to do all of those things. I am a lesson horse.

I am not loved by one person. I am loved by several people. I don’t have my person, I have my people. I am a lesson horse.

I will teach your child and yourself more than just to ride. I will bring your child out of their shell. I will teach your child about life. I will be yours and their shoulder to cry on. I am a lesson horse.

I will bring my family the joy of teaching kids. I will bring my families business growth. I am so loved by my family, even if they don’t express it everyday. My family allows others to show me love and enjoy me. I am a lesson horse.

At the end of your childs’ journey on a lesson horse, they will out grow me. They will find one that jumps higher, a horse that is show quality, a horse much faster than me. But, I will never outgrow being a lesson horse. I will be the one that loved your child and helped your child grow into the rider and person they are. I am a lesson horse.

At the end of my time as a lesson horse; I will be covered in grey hair. Each grey hair came from each hour I spent as a lesson horse. I will be in a field of green grass, I will be taken care of as I was when I was a lesson horse. I will watch your child from across the pasture love her new horse. But, I will love your child more than any horse can. I will be the backbone of the business, the family, and your child. Don’t forget about me, I am a lesson horse.

Katie got a bath and a makeover. This girl has been reminding me to grab bands so we could braid Katie’s hair. I finally remembered them.

Lessons aren’t just about riding, you need to learn about horse care, nutrition and how much times goes into having them.

Plus hot days are great for bath 😊

Good afternoon!

With this heat make sure to bring lots of water and sunscreen!

Also I am off of lessons from July 15-19, I do have spots on Saturday July 20 but will be gone on Sunday July 21.

We have Buchanan county fair this week so I get to love on all the animals we don’t have.

Hello!
With this weather please park by the white fencing, the trailers or the white cement wall by the garbage bin. We have a little trench dug to move water.

Happy rainy morning!!

I wanted to restate that from April 21 through April 28 there will be no lessons as I will be gone in Florida. Let’s hope the weather follows me home😊
