Hot Sauce was from the very first litter I ever bred, whelped, and raised, my first home-bred Champion. He never had the fire his daddy had in the ring, but I’ve yet to meet a dog who loves as sweetly and deeply as he did. Watching his grandbabies play in the yard tonight I can feel him beside me, pawing my leg because I’m typing instead of petting him, lol. Rest easy, Sauce, nothing will hurt tonight. 💔

Pending AKC confirmation, the Sugarfoot family has a new Champion! Bunti earned her 15th point today under Judge Allan Reznik, finishing completely owner-handled by her first-time dog show family, Jeff Hunter and Jp Hunter. We are so proud of all of them!

Hoopz is 15 today! If you have a Sugarfoot dog, Hoopz is the mother, grandmother, and/or great-grandmother. This girl relished motherhood and still occasionally tries to take over puppies (“Jones, you’re doing it wrong!” 🤣). Here she is winning the group in the Amateur-Owner-Handler competition circa 2010.

A local senior living facility had a dog show today, where Enchilada charmed the residents (and Natty made them turn down their hearing aids with her barking). It was so great to see all the smiles!
