Amy has been teaching riding lessons, coaching students, starting colts, showing and training horses for over 25 years. Giving colts a solid start and laying a strong foundation that lasts ,, for beginner riders also with an emphasis on correct horsemanship, safety, and having fun. Amy has trained multiple world champions and coached their riders to success.

We had a great time showing our ranch horses yesterday! Amy and Rip are turning into a great team, placing second in the ranch rail in the big green horse class was super cool! We also took two thirds and two fourths.
Justin and Dodger had their best show yet,, with zero refusals or buddy sour issues!! And made an excellent perfect trail pattern!
Kora and Fudge have gotten comfortable in this arena and they had no breaks into the lope at all ,, for the first time ever! Placing them high enough to win their divisions daily high point.
Cat and Montana have figured out so much this year too, and have improved so much, it’s been so fun to watch them confidently do so well!! They won their divisions daily high point.
Kora and Cat both won a buckle for their year end high point too.
I’m so so proud!!

Wild Stormy girl has gotten used to being with me and Snowman from the other side of the fence. I can even reach up and take my hat off, pat snowman on the butt, stand in my stirrups and pet him way up his neck ,, she stays for it calmly now!! I can put pressure on her lead rope and she’ll step towards me now too. She’s doing great!

Fun fun weekend showing at the Texas Ranch Horse Championship show!!
Everyone performed very well , proving that they can be competitive at this level!
Kora and Fudge took an eighth and a 10th. Justin and Dodger took a 5th, 9th and 10th, and placed eighth over all! In a huge class of 18!

Sundays barrel race was so much fun, everyone made a fast run, Dixie handled the excitement very well, and Ryder and Phantom won some money!

We had a blast running Saturday nights speed events at the 4h show,, Ryder and phantom won novice high point, Elizabeth and Shiloh won novice reserve high point, rilee and Jake won senior youth reserve high point, Amy and Tex won the adult high point. Ireland ran barrels only and took third place.
The Halloween costume class is always a ton of fun,, and this year our group had Ryder the Indian , maggie the unicorn, Rilee the Barbie, and Dani as Harry Potter. All the horses behaved very well and the unicorn placed in the top 5,, and the Indian won third place!

Lots of fun showing at the Arrowheart ranch horse show this weekend!! Everyone has improved their rides and we had a great time. Thanks to my Montana trainer friends here in town for their anniversary for riding little Cardi for me!!

Fun fun morning riding in the cedar hill heritage days parade! Our group won the costume award! Thank you all for the great ideas and awesome costumes!! The theme was “Woodland Creatures”. Our horses were the forest and the riders were the creatures. We had Robin Hood, two wolves, a unicorn, two butterflies, a dragonfly, a fairy and a deer.

Waco Ranch show this weekend , lots of good experiences, lots of improved rides, fun trail course. Montana and Cat won their division high point and Dodger and Justin won their division reserve high point. Cardi was a super star and we had the very best classes we’ve ever had , soft and relaxed and correct. Kora and Fudge had their best rides yet and stayed relaxed and not speedy!! I’m super proud of everyone’s progress.

My sweet Splashy got to go to heaven on Wednesday night, after a long battle with laminitis. Thank you Splashy for every fun ride, every accomplishment, every compliment, thank you for taking care of my students, for teaching them to ride quietly but firmly, thank you for being there for Kelsie every single time Star was lame and had to stay home , for being the best godmom for Cardi, for being the best girlfriend for old Slick, for always listening to me and being my friend. I miss you but I know you’re having a blast running again, running in the clouds.

Rilee and Jake won reserve high point in their division, Amy and Tex won reserve high point in their division, and Ryder and Phantom won their high point!

Cat and Montana and Justin and Dodger competed in the Sept Let’s Get Ranchy online show and entered the Ultimate Ranch Challenge, Walk/Trot division. They had to video their patterns and submit them to be judged against 20+ other competitors.
They both did an excellent job and scored well amidst all that competition.
Cat and Montana won reserve high point for the division!! They placed 6th in Ranch Riding, 5th in Pleasure, 2nd in Trail and 5th in Dummy Roping.
Justin and Dodger placed 10th in Ranch Riding, 9th in Conformation, 4th in Pleasure, 3rd in Trail and 9th in Dummy Roping.

Justin, Kora, Cat and I had a fun day showing Ranch in Gainesville on Sunday 🤠 the classes were HUGE and we all had successful rides , taking home some 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th place ribbons!!
