AGA is a non-profit organization dedicated to finding loving homes for retired greyhounds.

AGA's primary goal is to find responsible loving homes for pure-bred greyhounds after life on the racetrack and to acquaint the public with the desirability and availability of greyhounds as pets. AGA is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes within the meaning of section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code. Our volunteers work very hard to bring you the best possible hound

for adoption. Small dog and cat testing are done so that a better placement may be achieved. Our hounds are taken to AGA's veterinarian immediately upon arrival to be spayed/neutered, heart worm tested, teeth cleaned, vaccinations, nails trimmed & bathed.

🌈 The AGA Family is sad to share that Chili (KB's Chili Dog, 9/1/2011) crossed the Rainbow Bridge in mid-October, 2024. Chili was the beloved hound of Jen & Rick Collins. Chili was a handsome, strong and big boy and will be deeply missed by his family. Our thoughts are with Jen & Rick during this sad time. 🐾

🌈 The AGA Family is sad to share that Tater (CTW Skyraider, 11/07/2015) crossed the Rainbow Bridge yesterday after a courageous, year-long battle with Osteo. Tater was the beloved hound of Lauren & Lance Ward and the bestest buddy of canine companion Isobel. From Tater's Mom, "We are very sad to say goodbye to our sweet boy. He was so gangly and awkward at first but he became an expert at cuddling. His personality was so boisterous and loud, he loved everyone and was super food motivated. He roached all the time and enjoyed a good belly rub. We'd hear him rooing for us every time we came home, he spun his tail like a helicopter when he was excited, and he chittered while I prepared every meal. He demanded scratches and pets constantly, he sure knew how to love. He was one of the best!" Our thoughts are with Laura & Lance and sweet Isobel during this sad time. 🐾

🌈 The AGA Family is sad to share that Memory (KF's Memorymaker, 7/9/2011) crossed the Rainbow Bridge earlier today, one day after her 13th birthday. Memory was the beloved hound of Pat Whitted. In addition to being a successful racer, Memory was mother and grandmother to a great many AGA adoption alums. She gave so many adopters happiness she didn't even know about. Our thoughts are with Pat and his family during this sad time. 🐾
