Finally catching my breath from two shows, 20 miles apart In Wisconsin over the weekend: Midwest Carriage Festival in Elkhorn and Dressage at Sorensen’s in East Troy.

Team Rozeboom with Laine Boesenberg at the lines came home with good ribbons and my always favorite : The Concours d’Elegance Champion. Our thanks to the teams of volunteers for indulging our passion.

Blissoak Spyder joined Team Tamarack under the direction of Tammy Lisi and brought home blues for rider Sydney Burlington under a very tough judge. Many thanks to Sorensens for their drama free hospitality: most appreciated !

Excellent information for understanding the horse.

It also applies to the horse’s interpretation of the rider’s tension. At a show, even if the horse is perfectly balanced as a result of endless gymnastic training, if the rider is concerned about making a fool of themselves in a dressage test, the horse will look for the source of that danger. They are canny and 9 times out of 10 will spook at the judge at C.
