Cinnamon girl!! Can we talk about this smile of hers?! Have you seen anything more beautiful? Gah! We love her! π She loves everyone she meets, she's one of the happiest girls around! She walks well on a leash and LOVES to go on a sniffari while you're out and about! Cinnamon is an off-road gal! She loves adventure.
She is very dog friendly and is loving having a playful buddy in her foster home. Cinnamon girl would prefer to not be around cats. π«£π We think she'd prefer a fenced in yard since that seems to be what she has been used to.
Come meet this cutie patootie on Saturday at the shelter during open hours from 10-2. It's helpful to our volunteers if you get an application filled out ahead of time. You can do that quickly with the link below.

Sweet Maggie. She loves to lay and relax and take in the warm breeze, with some sort of ball of course. ππ And also just kidding, we have yet to see this girl have a pause button. She is full of energy and will need a very active family to keep her busy.
She is so friendly and can't wait show you how excited she is to meet you with her cute little nubbin. She is learning to walk on a leash and doing quite well. Maggie is good with other dogs but we aren't sure on cats yet. We'll set up a meet and greet to make sure it's a good fit with any pets in the home.
Maggie loves to run and play and we think she would do best in a home with a fully fenced yard so she can do so safely. She would love somebody to play fetch with her, take her on lots of walks, and many adventures!

The sweetest most gentlest snack taker around! Knoxy Boy is a 74 pound 3-year-old guessed to be a lab mix-ish. He's a leaner and a lover, SO SWEET!!
Knox loves to go on his sniffari walks and is SO GOOD on a leash. He is dog friendly and would prefer to not be around cats. He's a real sweetheart who loves to run and play so we think he'd be happiest in a home with a fully physically fenced in yard to explore and play safely in.
He's currently has the best foster family and loves his canine foster sibling, his foster family said he's just incredible. He is definitely one of those once in a lifetime dogs. So chill just goes with the flow, loves anything and everyone, except cats of course. π
This guy will surely add a smile to anyones face. Come meet him Saturday at the shelter from 10-2 during open hours. Fen is so happy and playful and would be the BEST addition to anyone's family.
He's a 52 pound 4 year old boy and guessed to be a Brittany Spaniel/Lab mix-ish. We'd love for Fen to have a physically fenced in yard to play fetch in and zoom around in safely. He's never had a yard of his own before and we so want that for him! He's dog friendly and for the most part passed his cat test, he might chase them! But didn't seem to want to hurt them. We'd set up meet and greets with any pets in the house to make sure it's all good.
He's great with kiddos and adults! He's learning to love walks an he's soooo eager to learn and please. Such a good boy!! π

Tucker boy got to go home for the day with one of our volunteers for some respite from the shelter. It is much needed for him. The shelter environment is just not for some dogs and it is definitely not for Tucker. He is missing having a family and would love to get the heck out of here. He just wants somebody to go on adventures with, take him on walks where he is his best self, and play ball with him. He absolutely loves ball! Soccer balls, bouncy balls, anything to run and play with.
He's okay with dogs but would probably just be more of a buddy than a playmate. He might be okay with cats? Kind of seems like he'll chase them but not to hurt them. So if you're looking for just another warm body in the house to be a companion, he's your dude. But like we said definitely not going to be a playmate he kind of just does his own thing.
He's already 5 and 1/2 years old so he's out of that puppy and adolescent stage and on to his regal years. He's just looking for somebody to spend those with. We'd like for him to have a fenced in yard to lounge around and play safely in.
Who do you know? Anybody looking for a walking buddy? ( He is absolutely incredible on walks!) An adventure buddy? Tucker is definitely your guy. If Saturday from 10:00 to 2:00 does not work for you to meet him, just let us know when a good time for you would be. We do ask that you fill out an application first so we can make sure that you fit his needs and are a good fit for him.
He would also benefit from a foster home that meets all the needs listed above, we will pay for everything! Same application as below but you'll see some extra questions for fosters.

This pint-sized beauty with the most gorgeous eyes is Maggie! We love her.
She's a 9 month old Australian Shepherd/Corgi-ish mix weighing 27 pounds. She is so friendly and can't wait to cover you in kisses. She is learning to walk on a leash and doing quite well. Maggie is good with other dogs but we aren't sure on cats yet. We'll set up a meet and greet to make sure it's a good fit with any pets in the home.

Watching these two together reminds us of Step Brothers.. haha they became BEST FREINDS when they were found abandonded together. They've got each other's backs and they will be adopted together.
Charlie and Luke are guessed to be between 2 and 3 years old. They're both around 45-50 pounds and these two cutie patooties are looking for a new home that will welcome them together. They would be best for a home with no other pets at this time and a fully physically fenced in yard to run, play, zoom, and wrestle in! They love to wrestle each other!
They entertain themselves and are pretty easy peasy kiddos to have around. There's just got to be someone or a family out there that would love to take these boys in and give them the life they deserve. Because they love to romp around, they might knock little kiddos over.. so maybe a home with no littles would be good (unless you don't care if they get knocked over!) haha but they LOVE people and getting lots of love and attention! They're SUPER friendly!
Charlie and Luke are being fostered with one of our friends here in Cedar Rapids so you can meet them really whenever you'd like! It does NOT have to just be on Saturday (they don't come to the shelter for open hours). We do require you at least to put in an application so we can learn more about you and your home to make sure you're a good fit for these two. Which I mean... you should be if you've made it this far and are putting in an application! π€ͺπ From there we'll review the app and set up a date/time for you to go hang out and meet them!

This snorting crooked-tailed brindle handsome boy just makes us laugh!
Yoshi is a 2-year-old American Bully mixish weighing about 63 pounds. He has the most handsome brindle coat! Yoshi is very friendly and might just cover you in kisses. He likes to play with toys in the yard and would do best in a home with a fully fenced yard so he can run and play safely.
We think Yoshi is good with other dogs so if you have one, we'll set up a meet and greet to make sure it's a good fit. We aren't sure about cats yet but we will cat test him soon. He is learning to really love walks! He would love to have a walking buddy to continue working on his leash manners. He's doing so good!
Come meet this handsome boy on Saturday during open hours from 10:00 to 2:00 at the shelter. It's hopeful to our volunteers if you have an application fill out ahead of time, you can do that quickly with the link below.

Fen!! He's great with kiddos and adults. He absolutely loves to play fetch and will need someone in his future forever family that would be willing to do that with him. It's the one thing that brings him the most joy in life.
He's learning to love walks and working on his leash manners. He's soooo eager to learn and please! Such a good boy!! We are looking for a home with a physically fenced in yard for this sweet potato because he's never had one. He deserves one to be able to run after a launched ball as far as he can safely!

Tucker boy over here popping in to say hey! This sweet guy has had zero visitors. Yes, he is a big floof!! But he is as sweet as pie. A Wednesday morning dose of cuteness of our sanctuary dog Dougie. He lives with us full-time because he's got some issues in his tissues. He does not trust easily and it takes him a while to let people into his circle.
He does have a handful of those that he does let in and they love him and spoil him dearly. Volunteers are able to sign up for some training and extra time that they put in to gain his trust. It takes a lot but he's worth it.
We hope that someday one of our volunteers that knows all of his quirks and what he needs in a forever home will be able to adopt him, but until then he'll live with us. He has no idea he's at a shelter, he lives better than most people's dogs we bet! ππ
Happy Wednesday, we hope you have a beautiful day. ππ«Άπ
Fen is a GEM of a dog! We are so thankful he's with us and he just becomes more and more a part of our hearts. He's so happy and playful and would be the BEST addition to anyone's family.
Here's what we know: He's a 52 pound 4 year old boy and guessed to be a Brittany Spaniel/Lab mix-ish. We'd love for Fen to have a physically fenced in yard to play fetch in and zoom around in safely. He's great with kiddos and adults! He does like to try and jump a smidge when he first meets you because he's SO DANG excited someone came to meet him finnnnaalllyy!!! Nothing a little training and consistany couldn't help with. He's learning to love walks an he's soooo eager to learn and please! Such a good boy!!

THAT FACE!! What an adorable sweet ham!! Cinnamon is a 1 year 7 month old pocket sized American Bully-ish mix maybe? She loves everyone she meets and thrives on their attention. She walks well on a leash and LOVES to go on a sniffari while you're out and about!
Cinnamon gets along with other dogs but would prefer to not be around cats. We'll set up meet and greets with any pets in the home to make sure everyone gets along well. Cinnamon just joined us so we are still getting to know her. But, we already love her so much! We think she'd prefer a fenced in yard since that seems to be what she has been used to.

This sweet boy, he loves lounging in this chair at his foster home. Dill is guessed to be an 9-month-old Dalmation mix-ish weighing 36 pounds. He is very friendly and SO SWEET to all he meets. He loves humans, dogs, and cats too! He's the perfect boy.
He's just a little sweet potato still at around 9 months old and is learning that the world isn't a scary place. Because he's still figuring that out, he'd do best in a home with a fully physically fenced in yard to explore and play safely in.
You can meet sweet Dill Pickle on Saturday at the shelter from 10-2 during open hours.
