TODAY is IHA Day all day long at Lucky's On Sixteenth in the Czech Village. IHA receives a portion of the proceeds ALL DAY today, when you enjoy a fabulous breakfast, lunch or dinner and FREE BINGO with awesome prizes from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Great Cause! Great Food! Lots of fun! Prizes!

Low-cost vaccinations and microchips for cats only, this Saturday, April 12th. We plan to host a vaccine and microchip clinic for dogs in May. We will post more information as we get closer to that month.
Please have your cats in good secure carriers, bring cash. These vaccination clinics tend to be very busy, so please try to be patient. Our staff and volunteers will work hard to ensure that the process goes as smoothly as possible.

To show our appreciation, we are recognizing our awesome IHA volunteers all month long. One of our most dedicated volunteers is Calista Hospodarsky. Calista brings with her a great deal of experience with cats. She has fostered kittens for many years through the Iowa City Animal Center. She volunteers at our low-cost cat vaccination and microchip clinics, outreach events, fundraising events and specific times as a clinic support volunteer. She is an extremely talented gardener and donates hundreds of beautiful plants to us every year for our annual IHA 4-Day Plant Sale in May. She also bakes and decorates heavenly cakes and cupcakes and if you have attended an IHA event, you have probably had the pleasure of tasting her delicious baked goods.
As you can see, Calista is an invaluable volunteer, and we can never thank her enough for all that she does for IHA and the animals.

We want to recognize and thank our awesome volunteers! IHA volunteers are an exceptional group of individuals. They offer their valuable time and individual expertise to help us deliver our important mission to stop pet overpopulation.
One such awesome individual is IHA volunteer, Jessica Klima. Jess dedicates certain days of the week, to help us in our clinic during surgery days. She brings her previous veterinary assistant knowledge and experience to help us with cleaning and sterilizing surgical instruments.
Thank you Jess, for making time in your life for helping animals through Iowa Humane Alliance. We LOVE working with YOU!

No fooling! We would love to have you join our volunteer team! IHA Volunteer orientation is tomorrow night from 6pm to 7pm. Attending one of our orientations is the best way to learn more about IHA and the services and programs we offer to help pets and their people. Volunteers play a crucial role in our ability to provide these programs and services.

We are sending out a huge IHA thank you to Connie Moffit and her sister, Elaine Sheber. Connie works with Cedar County League of Animal Welfare. She has transported many community cats to IHA for trap-neuter-return services. She started collecting these big styro foam coolers and making them into winter cat shelters. Last year Connie and her sister Elaine donated and delivered 150 for IHA to hand out to community cat caretakers. This year they have made and donated another 100! Thank you for helping IHA make a difference for community cats!

IHA is hiring a Development Director position. We are seeking an organized, enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual who works well with both pets and people and can fundraise to support a great cause. A background in animal welfare and/or fundraising is a bonus.
