Here our dogs are health tested, fed better than us, and exercised more than the members at your local gym. Our dogs can easily run 12 miles next to a bike, or hike the entire day in steep terrain, or work in sport. They ar

Hello everyone,

I have 2 female 1 year old Boerboels available to an approved home. I did not produce them, they came from a friend and Friend @ Blazen Boerboels. These two are on the small side, but very athleticlly built. One Red and the other light fawn. Named Cinnamon and Sugar. They can go separate or together as they do enjoy each other.

They will need time and effort. They went almost a full year of life with very limited exposure to things. They have come a long way but will take patience and understanding to help them adapt in a new home. Once you have their trust, they are sweet and affectionate. Will be skiddish at first.

Perfect family pet where they will be a part of the family. They gave showed zero aggression and are quite submissive in nature. Get along with most other dogs, really dominant or hyper dogs so stress them out a bit, but could be worked on I think.

Send me a message for more information.

U.S. ONLY PLEASE.

Good afternoon folks. Throwing out a reminder post that we are still trying to help a fellow breeder find new homes for some nice pups. The "fee" is set to move these guys and is a great opportunity to get a fantastic pup at a great value.

Been quiet on this page, but rest assured we haven't stopped working over here!

In addition to the puppies we are working with and helping to place from a friend and fellow breeder, we have also been continuing our journey with Triton and our goal of a PSA 1 title.

Here are some pictures of the "fun" stuff bite work from our weekend decoy camp two weeks ago. His OB is coming along VERY nicely as well. Very excited to see where he is by next year. Goal is trialing and earning his title by end of next year.

If you have questions about anything, or are interested in learning more about our program or about the available puppies not produced by us, please send us a message!

Thank you Crouse Canine and Vindictive Working Dogs for all the work in helping to build this monster!

“Black” Collar
This boy is a nice well-rounded pup, perfect for the first-time owner and adaptable to a faster or slower household. More independent that much of his siblings, would make a good farm dog. Not the most dominant, but confident. This pup would also do very will with children and other animals!

Hello all, I'll be sharing several videos of puppies bred by a friend and fellow breeder. These pups are extremely well bred and come with everything you'd expect in a quality pup.

*This puppy and his siblings are available from a fellow breeder. Please message me directly for details. Include what collar color puppy you are inquiring about.*

Black collar 2:
This Boy will do awesome for someone new to the breed as a first time Boerboel owner as he is going to be less challenging and dominant than most and would do well with kids and other animals. This guy also has the distinct honor of being one of the nicest structured pups I have seen. Very well put together. He will not be your sport dog, or the toughest temperament but will absolutely be your best friend and loyal family member!

Always a good idea. We do this here for every meal.

💦 Sharing again because I think it's super important! 💦

Adding liquids to your dogs kibble is important in helping them stay hydrated, especially with summer weather hot on our heels! 🥵

Not every dog likes soaked kibble (Halo refuses to touch her food if I add water) and that's okay! You can try adding ice cubes if this is the case.

Remember to always have water accessible, whether your dog enjoys soaked kibble or not. All of my dogs have their own pails kept filled with fresh water in their kennels to ensure they have water available at all times. This also makes it easy for me to know who is drinking water (and how much) and who isn't.

Stay hydrated! 😁

Shared from Woofer Wellness:

💦 HYDRATION 💦

Hydrating your dog is something so simple but it's actually so overlooked and most people don't think about hydrating when it comes to meal times.

If your dog is eating a kibble diet, they are more prone to dehydration. This is because the dry kibble requires moisture for digestion. When your dog is not adequately hydrated, the body pulls water from the internal organs to digest the kibble and this can lead to the state of mild dehydration. Even if they are drinking throughout the day, the digestion process pulls water from their system after eating.

One of the best and easiest thing you can do as a kibble feeder is HYDRATE YOUR DOGS FOOD!

Adding water to kibble softens it for digestion and hydrates your dog's body systems.

Great options to hydrate kibble include
💧Filtered Water
💧Coconut Water
💧Bone Broth
💧Goat's Milk
💧Decaffeinated Green Tea (aids in cancer prevention)

Quick Tip - you can freeze all of the above in trays or silicone molds and then pop out a cube or two and melt with hot water at meal time!

*Always give your dog access to fresh water at all times

*Always rest your dog after eating any meal. Never exercise your dog immediately after eating due to risk of bloat.

This dog right here is a prime example of a dog that cannot be "bought" with a positive only or "force free" training style.

He is not afraid, he is not in any way intimidated. He is dominant, confident through and through, and has grown accustomed to getting his way and has learned that biting gets him what he wants. Notice he in no way avoids the confrontation. Notice his hackles are not up, he's comfortable in his own skin, in an unfamiliar environment, around unfamiliar people. He is clearly displaying "I will gladly show you who's boss". The bite that occurs is forward, not backward. It doesn't bite and retreat.

This dog is a "unicorn" as dogs like this to this degree are more rare than you think, but it's surprising how many Boerboels are "unicorns" in this way.

This dog would be one that the so called "veterinary behaviorists" might very likely tell you to put this dog down. Tools that the positive only community would like to see banned, can literally be the reason dogs like this get a second chance because they safely give us the ability to provide structure, without the need to confront the dog with physically powerful muscles and can remove the association of handler correction (e-collars). We need to stop banning things that simply "could" be used incorrectly, and instead invest into proper education of how to use them to save the lives of dogs like this one.

K9 Pro and Steve Courtney Dog Training are known all over Australia and beyond come see why...

There is a lot of controversy in the dog training community right now regarding training methods and the use of certain training tools that some feel a strong distain for.

Let me say this.... We have a responsibility to our dogs, our community, our family, and ourselves, to do right by how we train our dogs because it can have a range of consequences from very minor, to quite severe. As the size of this breed is quite substantial and holds a lot of power, these consequences are magnified and unfortunately often held up to a higher.... and frankly bias standard because of the way they look.

The "Scientific community" wants to suggest that certain tools or methods are not only unnecessary, but unethical. Let's be clear, ANY tool can be used improperly and be used in a way that is inhumane. However, the proper use of ANY tool, done with the purpose of having a reliably trained animal that is not only a healthy member of society, but an asset to your family, is something that should be encouraged, taught properly, and not looked down upon. The fact that there are so-called "expert organizations" on animal phycology that are trying to tell us what tools we can and cannot use, who have zero experience themselves training dogs for any purpose, and offer no support if you end up on the other side of a legal battle, is someone's advice worth a grain of salt.

After 7 months off, we have been getting back at it. I wanted to share this video of Triton "re" learning some fundamentals.

Too often people only want to show their "impressive" dogs, biting equipment that is worn by the decoy. They are embarrassed to show what led to that point for fear their dog won't look good, or worse, they jumped straight to a sleeve or other, and have created a mess of a dog in the work. Well, to the untrained person, this video will look like we aren't doing anything related to biting a person, but to those who know, this video is poetry. Triton is learning soooo much in this video that will help translate to quality grips, and deep hard bites on other equipment down the road. I will say that the leather bite pillow is probably one of the most underrated and underutilized pieces of equipment we can use to build a dog into a true bite-sport competitor or personal protection animal.

Lastly, this video shows that Triton has the drive we were looking for. He doesnt require agitation to get him engaged in the work like so many of his breed in sport work do. Part of that is quality work he has received from the decoys who work him. The other part is the goal of our program to produce more prey drive in our pups. He is happy to work, without needing to tap into his defense.

Hello everyone:-)

Reaching out, seeing if you lovely people are yourselves or know anyone looking for a really nice female.

Putting out feelers for our female keeper puppy, Rheya.

Really going to be selective, and contract will be specific (Would like to use her for our program in the future pending health tests of course and so forth, more details upon request).

She is going to be a good size female, heavy bone, excellent level temperament, high energy, and crazy athletic (she can jump 4ft no problem). She is in a lanky stage right now at 10 months old.

Pass along to those you trust who may be looking:-) Bonus points if they live in the Michigan/Indiana/Ohio general region.

The PDTA strongly OPPOSE the proposed ban on Prong Collars in Queensland.

“Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk made the announcement in a Facebook post on Sunday, saying the animal welfare laws would be debated in parliament this week.

"We're passing legislation to crack down on the inhumane treatment of animals in Queensland," the premier said in her post.”

Cracking down on animal cruelty is a way to emotionally contract people onto your side, but what about facts?

Surely, a collar as cruel as the prong collar would have hundreds if not thousands of cases in which people have been charged with cruelty?

The current welfare laws give power to prosecute anyone treating animals in a cruel manner, with ANY collar.

How many people have been charged? Our estimation is ZERO.

The prong collar can be a breakthrough training tool for those who are working with difficult, aggressive, and overstimulated dogs to get some progress in behaviour modification where other methods have failed.

Without this training tool, many dogs will be banished to their back yard for ever, unable to be walked or remain under their owner’s control.

Many more will be surrendered, put to death simply as other training systems failed them.

What is the hype?

Yes, the prong collars look does not scream pleasant, but what FAKE NEWS are people saying?

FAKE: The prongs are sharp and dog into dogs necks
FACT: The tips of the collars, contrary to popular belief, do not stick into the dogs neck, but rather run along side.

The tips are rounded off, not sharp like those trying to trigger your emotions suggest.

FAKE: The pull into the dog’s throat causing pain
FACT: They REDUCE pressure on dogs necks by applying the pressure from the leash evenly around the neck, unlike other collars.

FAKE: The prong collar can cause injury easy
FACT: We have never seen more than skin irritation from the metal in the collar, which occurs with any collar

From Anastasia’s press release

“RSPCA Australia is opposed to the use of dog pronged collars due to the potential risk of injury, pain and suffering they cause and because other more humane training methods are available," the organisation said on its website.

They prefer more humane training methods, having that said, from this document (https://rspca.org.au/sites/default/files/RSPCA%20Report%20on%20animal%20outcomes%20final%202016-2017.pdf)

You will see this written when the RSPCA are explaining why they put nearly 6000 dogs to death in one year and almost 70% of those dogs were for behavioural reasons.

From the document, the RSPCA state “Of dogs euthanased, the majority of cases are because of severe behavioural issues (68.78%). This includes aggression and severe anxiety that the RSPCA is not able to or has not been able to treat through behavioural modification programs”

I wonder how many could be saved if they stopped limiting themselves to the seemingly more humane methods?

And now they want to limit everybody…

How humane actually is it to kill a dog when it could be saved?

We do not refer to this as Euthanasia because that would ending the animals suffering. Most dogs that are displaying behaviour problems are not suffering, in fact the behaviour problem is often the coping mechanism.

Please do not fall for the attempts to emotionally trigger you to help ban important training aids that helps experienced and specialist dog trainers and behaviourists help dogs and their owners.
