We've had many of our senior furry friends passing away this year. I just wanted to take a moment to share my condolences for everyone who has lost their pet this year. As a groomer, the more we see your pets the more we become attached and form a bond with them. We like to be seen by them as the people who make them feel better and give them cookies and love. We spend so much time making sure they feel loved and cared for while in our care. We are heartbroken each and everytime we get a message letting us know one of our furry friends has passed over the rainbow bridge. It never gets any easier and we sure miss those pups we've spent so much time caring for and loving on. ❤️ Hold your babies a little extra close today.

Due to the Pet Care Facility Act (PACFA) enforcing a rule change to licensed facilities, we are now required by state law to have copy of these vaccinations to care for your dog. This is statewide and effects every single licensed grooming facility.

~Rabies
~ Bordetella
~Parvo
~Distemper

Unfortunately we do not have any choice any longer as to what we can make exemptions for, unless you bring me a letter from your licensed veterinarian stating that your dog needs to be exempt.

This will go into effect June 1st! Along with this we are going to be raising our prices $5-10$ per dog. It's an unfortunate decision we have had to make but prices of our licensing, equipment, maintance, and products we use on your dogs has increased. We appreciate your continued support and hope our customers understand the decision of the price raise and that we unfortunately had no choice in the new vaccination requirements.

Thank you, Scrubby Doobie Doo Grooming 🐶🐶

We apologize for not returning phonecalls and having to reschedule. Sierra was working with one of her horses on Friday and unfortunately was injured. We are still not sure of the extent as we are waiting on a MRI. Until further notice she is in a knee immobilizer and on crutches. We are trying to figure out how to make her comfortable and safely able to work in the trailer without further injuring her knee. We appreciate everyone's understanding and will keep those of you whom we've had to reschedule updated on when we are able to reschedule for. Thank you, Scrubby Doobie Doo Grooming

It's so important for a puppies first groom that it is a good experience. This is Stormies first full grooming besides some home maintenance. She's relaxed enough she's laying on the table falling asleep as I'm trimming around her face. We are huge advocates here for positive reinforcement. We reward with treats (with owner concent), lots of love and pets! This puppy is set up for success for grooming. ❤️

Stolen from another groomer
I keep seeing people in local groups ask if there are any dog groomers who aren’t “crazy expensive.” And I totally get it. Money and finances are personal and important. But I want to gently reframe that question a bit.
What if instead of asking for a cheap groomer, we started asking if there are groomers who are trained, experienced, and continuing their education?
Because here’s something a lot of pet parents don’t know. Dog grooming is an unregulated industry. That means literally anyone can start grooming without any real training, certification, or knowledge about animal safety. (Isn't that scary?!)
Your dog is a living, breathing animal. One that moves while someone is working on them with sharp tools. Skill matters. Experience matters. Education matters.
There are some incredible groomers out there!
The ones doing it the right way.
They’re getting certified, investing in continued education, and going to trade shows and local classes. Some are even part of the Local Professional Pet Groomers Association, which means they’re holding themselves to a higher standard of care and professionalism.
Prices will always vary based on time, experience, and quality. And that’s okay. But when it comes to your dog’s safety and comfort, it’s worth considering more than just the cost.
It’s time we normalize asking things like:
•Are they experienced
•Have they invested in continued education?
•Is their salon clean and calm?
•Do they understand dog behavior and safe handling?
In the long run, choosing the right groomer isn’t about saving money.
It’s about making sure your pet is in the safest hands possible.
Not the cheapest price that may end up at a vet's clinic, Or worse!!
