Just a couple more hours left in 2024!! (Whew!)

Which also means…Please, as you consider your end-of-year giving, please remember that all donations to Florida Little Dog Rescue are tax-deductible as we are a fully certified and registered 501(c)3. Many companies, such as Disney, Boeing, Salesforce and Bank of America just to name a few, offer corporate matching funds as well! As an added bonus, any donations made before midnight on 12/31 will be matched by a very generous supporter, up to $5000!! 🎄🎅The Paw Academy team got together last night at Celebration Brewing Company (best beer & food in Celebration) for our annual holiday party (this isn't all of us, just those that happened to be around for the photo op). Our staff is the heartbeat of what we do. It takes an incredible amount of patience, energy, and compassion to provide individualized loving care to every unique pet that we look after; and this team is the best in the business. Our team members all live right here in the communities we serve, and we get up every day with the goal of treating every pet as if they were our own. 📢📢 Friends & neighbors: if you're evacuating, please make every effort to bring your fur family with you. However, if you're stuck somewhere today & tomorrow and can't get home to your pet; or if you're unable to bring your pet with you when you evacuate, please contact us ASAP. We have team members that are staying here in Celebration and will be checking in on pets throughout the duration of the storm. Direct message us or email us at [email protected] right away if you need help with your pets. No pet will be left behind on our watch. Thank you and stay safe 🙏🐶🐈

We know everyone is busy preparing for Hurricane Milton, and we want our community to make sure they and their pets stay safe when this hurricane makes landfall.

The safety of the animals under our care is always our top priority. So we are reaching out to our community to see if anyone would be willing to assist us with fostering some of our animals for the duration of the storm and through the weekend. Hurricanes can be frightening for dogs and cats, and we will have plenty of staff on hand to provide care and comfort for the 300 animals currently in the shelter. But we also know if some of them can spend that time in a home, that would be amazing for them. If you’d like to foster a storm buddy, please email us at:

And as a PSA for everyone, please remember:

🟣 If evacuating, bring your pets along, find a shelter or identify a place you can stay with your pets.

🟣Create an emergency kit for your pets, whether you are evacuating or staying in place, that has all of their essentials – food, water, medication and identification.

🟣Bring all pets inside.

🟣It’s not uncommon for pets to be displaced in the chaos. If your pet is lost please check local shelters, post on social media, and be proactive in trying to find your pet. If you find a lost pet, please plan to keep them through the storm until the shelter reopens, and make efforts to find the owners by posting on social media. Love Lost is a great database for both lost and found pets.
