📢📢 Friends & neighbors: if you're evacuating, please make every effort to bring your fur family with you. However, if you're stuck somewhere today & tomorrow and can't get home to your pet; or if you're unable to bring your pet with you when you evacuate, please contact us ASAP. We have team members that are staying here in Celebration and will be checking in on pets throughout the duration of the storm. Direct message us or email us at [email protected] right away if you need help with your pets. No pet will be left behind on our watch. Thank you and stay safe 🙏🐶🐈

We know everyone is busy preparing for Hurricane Milton, and we want our community to make sure they and their pets stay safe when this hurricane makes landfall.

The safety of the animals under our care is always our top priority. So we are reaching out to our community to see if anyone would be willing to assist us with fostering some of our animals for the duration of the storm and through the weekend. Hurricanes can be frightening for dogs and cats, and we will have plenty of staff on hand to provide care and comfort for the 300 animals currently in the shelter. But we also know if some of them can spend that time in a home, that would be amazing for them. If you’d like to foster a storm buddy, please email us at:

And as a PSA for everyone, please remember:

🟣 If evacuating, bring your pets along, find a shelter or identify a place you can stay with your pets.

🟣Create an emergency kit for your pets, whether you are evacuating or staying in place, that has all of their essentials – food, water, medication and identification.

🟣Bring all pets inside.

🟣It’s not uncommon for pets to be displaced in the chaos. If your pet is lost please check local shelters, post on social media, and be proactive in trying to find your pet. If you find a lost pet, please plan to keep them through the storm until the shelter reopens, and make efforts to find the owners by posting on social media. Love Lost is a great database for both lost and found pets.

REMINDER: Pits & Pints event tomorrow (Sat 9/14) from 4-6pm at Celebration Brewing Company. There's going to be live music, great food, great beer, and most importantly - our friends from Polk County Bully Project are bringing 13 amazing and adoptable pups that are deserving of a forever home. If you're not already familiar, take a minute today to Google "Hero dogs of 9/11". Today will always be a day to remember and honor so many heroes and victims, including the canine ones. We try as hard as we can to give everything we have each day to the pups in our care, because we know that dogs will always give every last ounce of themselves back to us. NEVER FORGET 🐕‍🦺🇺🇸

We're so excited to partner with our friends at Celebration Brewing Company and the amazing Polk County Bully Project for this event. There will be the following: adorable adoptable pups, live music, good food, and the best craft beer in the Orlando area. If that doesn't sound great, then you should probably get your pulse checked.
