Our clinic will be CLOSED on Saturday, July 27th for a staff enrichment day.
Boarding drop offs/pick ups will still be available at 9am. Boarding services will continue as scheduled.

It is with very heavy hearts that we announce that Pickles has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. After a months-long battle with cancer, he is now at rest. He was a true ray of sunshine wrapped in a giant tabby body. Pickles was the kind of cat who could make anyone a "cat person" and his presence will be missed.
He was with Dr. Anthony from the first day she acquired Aurora Cat Hospital, and it is hard to imagine the clinic without him.
Rest well, sweet Pickles. Four years with you was not nearly enough.

Pickles did great for his procedure and is now resting comfortably at Dr. Anthony's house. He'll be back greeting everyone at ACHH in no time! Thank you all for your warm wishes.

Anyone who's been in our clinic in the last couple of days will notice that Pickles is wearing an ecollar.
A couple months ago, Dr. Anthony took off what looked like a cyst from his left ear. Unfortunately, the biopsy came back as cancer and the mass returned and grew very quickly.
Tomorrow, Pickles is undergoing surgery to remove his entire left ear. He'll be recovering at Dr. Anthony's house over the weekend.
We all hope that he will heal quickly and this surgery will get rid of the cancer for good.
He's the best cat and we love him dearly.

Who wore it better?
Tiny Coconut came to ACHH with flat-chested kitten syndrome. He had to be fit with a sweater to go under his cardboard corset to help reshape his ribcage.
We thought this new one (made from Dr. Anthony's sock) made him look particularly handsome.
And we're pretty sure Chris Evans would agree.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Aurora Cat will be closed for appointments on Friday, Feb 17. Boarders will still be cared for as usual. We will reopen for normal business hours on Sat, Feb 18th.
If your cat needs emergency care, please call a local veterinary ER. (Information can be found on our website.)

Due to inclement weather and unsafe road conditions, for the safety of our staff, Aurora Cat Hospital and Hotel will be closed for appointments on Thursday, December 29th.
Boarders will continue to be taken care of twice daily.
We will reopen for morning appointments on Friday the 30th. We are then closed Friday afternoon through Monday for the New Year Holiday.

Comet (right) and Blitzen would like to remind everyone that we will be closed for appointments in observance of the Christmas holiday starting Friday, December 23rd. We will open again for normal hours on Tuesday, Dec 27th.
As usual, all hotel guests will be cared for twice daily throughout the break.

A lot of research is going into cat behavioral health. As we learn more, it's important that we do better.
When cats come into the clinic and are nervous (even if it involves hissing or growling), it's important to stay calm. Raising your voice to an already stressed cat can increase their anxiety and cause them to lash out.
We are happy to discuss any behavioral questions you might have regarding your cat.

Lola recently boarded with us while her people moved and while she was staying, she surprised everyone by delivering FIVE babies! Lola did great, even though it was her first litter, and the whole family is now relaxing back at home.

Such a treat to see tiny little babies. We have to admit, the little white kitten was a bit unexpected. 🥰😻

ACHH will be closed for appointments this Wednesday 6/22 through Saturday 6/25 as Dr. Anthony will be attending a professional conference out of town.
All hotel guests will continue to be cared for as usual, with drop-off and pick-up at 9am and 4pm.

Who doesn't love a "Then and Now" pic?
Remember those cute kittens that were rescued in the summer of 2020? They are all grown up and doing great.
Otis, Althea, and Bertha came in for their annual exams and vaccines with Dr. Anthony, and all three are in excellent health! We love seeing our patients grow and thrive!

Biscuit took a break from making biscuits for this exciting news!

We’re introducing a new mobile app that allows you to reach us more easily and conveniently. The app is called “Pet Health Network”, and you can use it to request an appointment, view your cat’s vaccination history and prescription details, request prescription refills, and access information about our practice. To start using the app, download Pet Health Network from the iPhone App Store or the Android Google Play store.
