Sometimes our pets need a little support, and that’s okay! 👍 Support your senior pet (7+ years) by bringing them in for our Senior Summer Special that ends in August! 🗓️

What does this package include? 🐶🐱

✔️ Chest X- Rays
- Having chest x-rays on our senior companions can ensure there are no abnormalities in the chest, lung and heart region and other nearby areas. 🩻

✔️ Full panel of bloodwork
- Having a full panel of bloodwork on our senior pets is crucial as when they age, there are various diseases that can take place and bloodwork can help find those markers early. 💉🩸

✔️ Comprehensive Exam
- This includes a full nose-to-tail examination of your pet by a doctor. This can be helpful in finding any lumps, arthritis concerns and eye concerns with old age - as well as a few other things. 🩺

✔️ Urinalysis
- This can be helpful in finding any urinary concerns; such as a UTI - and even checking for kidney disease! Sometimes symptoms don’t show up right away with these diseases as they age, so these tests can be helpful to track how the organs are functioning. 🔬

✔️ F***l Test
-This can be helpful to check for any parasites. Sometimes, our pets don’t show symptoms of an infection of parasites so having a stool sample can help rule out parasitic infections 🦠

Support your pets health and get the most comprehensive check up for 2024 for only $500! That’s 50% in savings! 😱🤯 SAVE today 🗓️

Happy Pet Hydration Month! 💧🐾

Keeping your pets hydrated is crucial for their health and well-being. Here are some tips to ensure your furry friends stay hydrated and happy:

1. **Always Provide Fresh Water**: 💧Make sure your pets have access to clean, fresh water at all times. Change their water daily and clean their bowls regularly to prevent bacteria buildup. 🦠

2. **Monitor Water Intake**: Keep an eye on how much water your pet is drinking. 👀 If you notice a significant increase or decrease, it could be a sign of an underlying health issue. Contact us if you have any concerns.

3. **Hydrating Foods**: Incorporate water-rich foods into your pet’s diet. Wet cat and dog food can help increase their water intake, and fruits like watermelon (in moderation) can be a refreshing treat.

4. **Hydration on the Go**: If you’re out and about with your pet, carry a portable water bottle and bowl. Hydration is just as important during walks and outdoor activities.

5. **Watch for Dehydration Signs**: Symptoms of dehydration in pets include dry gums, lethargy, sunken eyes, and loss of skin elasticity. If you suspect your pet is dehydrated, seek veterinary care immediately.

6. **Cool Down**: During hot weather, provide shaded areas and cooling mats for your pets. Avoid strenuous exercise during peak heat hours to prevent overheating and dehydration.

Remember, proper hydration is key to keeping your pets healthy and active. Celebrate Pet Hydration Month by ensuring your furry friends stay well-hydrated all year round! 🐶🐱💦

Did you know, more pets go missing July 4th weekend than any other time of the year? Fireworks and loud noises can cause pets to run away. If your pet isn't microchipped, we strongly recommend booking your appointment, as it greatly increases the chances of reunification should your pet run away. If your pet is microchipped, be sure the contact information is up to date and they have a tag on their collar with emergency information!

We appreciate the confidence you place in Companion Animal Veterinary Hospital and acknowledge that the greatest compliment we can receive is when our valued clients refer friends, family, co-workers and neighbors to our hospital. Fur-iends allows us to give back to our loyal clients for helping our practice grow. If you know someone who is looking for a veterinarian and you refer them to us, we’ll give them $25 off their first visit and we will credit your account $25 after their first visit.
