Last night, 6/21/24, the greatest group of people EVER gathered to celebrate Wren's OTCH. I want to thank each & every one of you for sharing that journey with us & for your friendship & generosity!! You guys are truly amazing friends & I'm so lucky to have all of you in my life...I have so many photos to go thru to post, but here is a video of the pre party set up to enjoy. More photos are coming soon...,
Here is Wren's OTCH run!! I love it!!!
Again...my clandestine videographer Karen went right into my bag & took my phone to video her run!! I am soooo glad she did. Now I'll have it forever!! Thanks sooooo much Karen...
Here is Wren's cute open class...She's really trying to hang on to her f&f's!!!
Thanks so much Karen Lechner for the video!!! So appreciated it!!
Thanks also to Bayshore Companion Dog Club for having such a wonderful, well run trial; Judge Joseph Caputa...always a pleasure to show to you; & the fantastic stewards who keep everything running smoothly!!
Bounce doing her morning tricks at 15 years/8 months. I am sooo fortunate that I am still able to do this with her & she still loves doing it with me!!!! Love you Bounce!!!!
Wren's Utility B class at the LIGRC trial on 2/11/24. There are soooo many things I loved about this class!!!! The things we've been working on are having some carryover into the trial setting. First, her ring choreography was so improved. Not exactly where I want it yet, but it is definitely headed in the right direction!!! Yeah!! Next, her attention in the signal exercise when I left her was the best she's ever done in a trial!! Yeah!! Also, her attention at set ups & pivots were all greatly improved!! Yeah!! Her speed isn't what I want yet but she is committed to each exercise & that is huge. Lastly, I'd like her set ups where I want them on the first attempt, not the second. But those things will come she gains more confidence. Another noteworthy accomplishment is she was able to work in a ring she has not recently been in & nailed her go outs & we both were a little more comfortable in a two ring setting...
I am sooooo incredibly proud of her...she's a rock star!!!!
Huge thanks to Barbara for videoing her class!!! So much great information!!!!
Bounce was 15 years & 4 months old 11/14/23. I'm going to post every 4 months now. She is still very much a confirmed workaholic even at this age!!! She is no longer allowed to heel so we found some other things to do from her obedience days. You keep lovin' life my little Eveready Bunny!!! Every moment with you is a gift....
Wren's Utility B class at BCDC on 8/5/23. Huge thanks Barbara Buscareno for the video!! It looked as good as it felt!! She was amazing!!!!
Wren's Open B run at PCOTC...Cute class. She's getting better & better!!
Thanks Petra Ford for videoing...
Happy 15th birthday to my most amazing girl, Bounce. She's the gift that keeps on giving!! Still loves playing the game with me! Enjoy her bi annual "tricks". She does this with me every morning with the same joy & enthusiasm that made her an amazing partner in the ring. Those days are long gone...but I am soooo grateful that she is still here with me having a blast!!
She had a rough winter having been diagnosed with both active Lyme & sarcoptic mange. She "bounced" back from that only to have a new condition in the last few months...neurologic hind end ataxia. Thanks to her amazing veterinarians who pulled her through these set backs. Dr Jennifer Lenarz, Dr Nina Malik, Dr Sue Ann Lesser & Dr Elizabeth Hardoon.
Thank you all!! I truly don't know what I would do without you. She's still enjoying life because of all of you...
SICDTC 6/24/23 Open B 200!!!! Perfect score...my first 200!!!! I'm so happy I remembered to turn on the camera.
Thank you to SICDTC for another excellent trial, the stewards, trial secretary Susan & hardworking judge Karen Wrey. It was an honor to get my first ever perfect score under you...
A continuing work in progress...this trial was to see if all our work on ring choreography, snappy pivots & more confident go outs had carryover to a trial & I have to say I was really thrilled to see everything is moving in the right direction. I had to "help" her a little over the high jump as she got spooked at a previous trial at this location, but she got it done. I had a bobble on my signal stand, but saved it. I am constantly managing her mental state in there, but it wasn't until the articles that she really shows a pressure reaction...but she gets it done. I think she is showing tremendous resilience & she's getting more confident. Onward we go....
Sunday utility class at Staten Island. OMG!!! All the things we are working on are really coming together!!!!!
I usually video Bounce doing her morning tricks every six months but missed February as she wasn't well. I'm happy to report she is "Bouncing" back thanks to all her great vets!! Shout out to Dr Jenna , Dr Hardoon, Dr Malik & Dr Lesser.
Bounce is 14 years 8 months...
