Where it all started.
Hi everyone, my name is Taylor Brandt I am the founder of Brandt Acres. I’m currently in school for a B.S. in Food Science with minors in Agribusiness and Horticulture. My passion for food started at a young age, my whole family cooked, we always had a garden life was pretty amazing. But I wanted to take my passion and turn it into something around Spring Break 2017 we visited Atlanta, GA and stayed at one of the coolest B&B’s ever, they had chickens, turkeys, goats, ducks all surrounding this amazing property. I fell in love, I knew I wanted to do something with food but running my own urban farm had never been an idea. With Arkansas having close to 50% of the population on some sort of food stamps I knew I had to help combat that. SOOOO here we are, learning through trial and error before the big moves must be made to bring back cooking and cultivating food into the everyday American home. Follow along as we go to market with our produce and change the start of Arkansas!
