Blaze and his owner working on some confidence building and advancing his obedience skills.
Blaze came to us for training a couple years ago. Blaze and his owner have been continuing his training ever since. We had some fun in class, showing off how he can do several commands while riding on a moving cart. We are beyond proud of the both of them and how far they have come as a team. #AlwaysBeTraining #PublicAccessTraining #Skills #LifeIsGood #ConfidenceBuilding #FunTraining #OffLeash
Miss Mae finishing up her training with us. She is still looking for a home.
Mae did so well with her first time in a public access training. She did all her commands, co existed with all the new distractions. Mae did very well in the vehicle with no car sickness and stayed calm. She is treadmill trained, knows sit, down, place, and walks very well on a leash. Mae is kennel trained and house trained. Help us find this sweet girl a new family that will love her just as much as we do! ❤️

Blaze and Cain showing off all their off leash and on leash skills at group training tonight!
We worked on a lot of off leash training, confidence building, long distance recall, and impulse control training. Their owners have been working so hard and it shows. We are so proud of these boys and how far they have come! #TrainingNeverStops #SmartPups #balancedtraining #ProofingCommands #lifeisgood #GY6DT #HelpThemByLeadingThem #Focus #skills #TeamWorkMakesTheDreamWork #HelpingOwners #crazytocalm #Distractions #WorkHard #PlayHard #ImpulseControl #OffLeash
The place command and what is it good for:
The place command is designed for your dog to co exist with real life distractions. These distractions could include: other dogs, people coming over which avoids them jumping on them with excitement, prevents begging when you are eating, prevents counter surfing when you are cooking, prevents barking out the window at the UPS man, prevents your dog getting into things when you are not looking, and so many other benefits.
At GY6, we add a ton of distractions to this command so we can proof it. Today during movie day, we are working on dogs staying at place while we walk over them. #TeamWorkMakesTheDreamWork #ImpulseControl #WorkHard #PlayHard #Focus #GY6DT #lifeisgood #balancedtraining #HelpingOwners #TrainingNeverStops #relaxed #calm #skills #SmartPups #ProofingCommands #Distractions #crazytocalm

Penny working on her off leash and recall skills.
Penny is known for running off and losing all focus with her owners when she is off leash. The key to recall and focus when off leash is making it super fun for your dog to come back to you. Way to go Penny! #balancedtraining #skills #TrainingNeverStops #refreshertraining #crazytocalm #SmartPups #GY6DT

Impulse control recall races are in full swing here at GY6. Congrats to Maggie and Callie with the slide win! #skills #GY6DT #LifeIsGood #FunTraining #WorkHard #PlayHard
Stormie working with her owner off leash.
Stormie came to us for a two week board and train. She was very dog reactive when she arrived and also when distracted off leash she would run off. We tested her skills with her owner and even walked her by the army of chickens. Stormie did amazing with keeping focus on her owner and co existed well with the distractions. Way to go Stormie..we are super proud of you!! #gy6dt #proofingcommands #balancedtraining #HelpThemByLeadingThem #helpingowners #distractions #teamworkmakesthedreamwork
Some of our boarding dogs getting refresher training while they are here.
We haven’t seen some of these pups for over a year and they are still solid on their commands and place command with distractions! Way to go pups and owners for continuing their training at home.
Dottie getting much better with nail trims!
When Dottie first came to us…she struggled with anyone being able to trim her nails. She has improved so much since the first day of training. The trick is to make it super rewarding for us to touch her paws and be able to even get the nail trimmers next to her. She still has a week to go so she can only get better and more comfortable with it from here.
