We’ve had many questions about the new respiratory infection being talked about online and in the news. So far we are not aware of any cases in our area but here is some information from a reputable source. We will keep you updated with any further information or precautions.

With the recent rise in canine respiratory infections impacting many parts of the country, it's important to know the signs & how to protect your pup. The Cornell Richard P. Riney Canine Health Center has compiled the latest information from experts across the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine and is working to support the veterinary community in addressing this event as it evolves. Updated information can be found at the link. A graphic resource covering precautionary measures for dog owners and some quick tips can be found below.

This is what we call a positive 4dx test. This test checks for heartworm, and three tick borne diseases called Lyme, ehrlichia, and anaplasmosis. Thankfully, this dog was negative for heartworm but unfortunately, was positive for the three tick borne diseases 😢

Unfortunately, in the great state of Iowa we see a lot of tick borne diseases due to the number of ticks we have in this area.

You can prevent these awful diseases by keeping your dog current on flea, tick and heartworm prevention, along with vaccinating for lyme.

Catching these diseases in the early stages is very important so that we can help eliminate some of the symptoms before they start, so we recommend a 4dx test once a year. 😃

☎️📞🤦‍♀️We first want to say we are sorry for the poor phone service you've been experiencing. We continue to drop calls and clients can't hear us.

Please be patient with us. We know it's a problem and have been dealing with Windstream for the last few months, but it's increasingly gotten worse.

🤔☎️Is anyone else in the area experiencing this issue with your internet phones?

If you need to get in touch with us, and can't get through via phone you can always email us at [email protected]

Again, we are sincerely sorry and are just as frustrated as you. ❤️🐈🐩🐾🐃
