My name is Becca, and along with my family, we’ve dedicated ourselves to not only breeding exceptional English labs but also ensuring they become beloved family members. Our Labrador puppies are known for being exceptionally easy to train, have a strong desire to please, and adapt quickly into their new family’s lives. English labs are known for their friendly, outgoing nature and even temperament

which makes them excellent companions for families, as they are both playful and patient. We think English Labs are the perfect pets! At our family-run breeding program, we are excited to share our journey as passionate English Labrador Retriever breeders and to share these wonderful puppies with the amazing families we meet along the way. We study pedigrees to ensure our pairings are genetically compatible and have invested in breeding lines from around the USA and abroad. Our parent dogs are DNA and OFA health tested, ensuring our Labrador Retriever puppies are healthy with a solid genetic background. We prioritize the well-being and development of our puppies. By carefully selecting parent dogs and ensuring our puppies receive positive early experiences, we strive to make a lasting impact on their temperament and trainability. Our English lab puppies are crate and potty conditioned while here with us to make their transition to your family as smooth as possible! The story behind our name is twofold, first Escalante is a Spanish surname and a variation of ‘Escalar’ which means ‘to climb’, and we strive in whatever we do to be always improving... whether that be in our breeding program, training methods, or our own personal lives; and second Escalante has a special place in our heart as a couple, as it’s a small canyon in Colorado we used to hike when we first started dating.

We raise our Labradors as our family members- whelping them in our house, giving them love and lots of socializing with our three year old and other young children that we trust to give our puppies good social experiences with. They are raised on a large 53 acre farm in the rolling hills of Tennessee with horses, chickens, goats, cats and enjoy putting their Labrador instincts to use early in our large creek.

At ‘Escalante Kennels’ we strive to breed the best all-around family dog possible, taking into account maternal and paternal temperament, health, trainability, and looks. We understand the link between healthy mama and healthy puppy and therefore strive to do our best to fulfill her nutritional requirements before and after pregnancy with high quality food and plenty of exercise- doing our best to give your new family member an excellent start to life.
