Happy August!
Just another day at the acreage with the Goldens 💛 this month we are hoping to find out if we will have some little paws running around this FALL 🍁🍂
Dog Days of Summer ☀️
Soaking up as much summer as we can before we hit a busy fall ☺️🐾
It’s a Golden Summer 🐾💛
We are nearing the end of our girls’ season, our rookie sire, Blue, sure has been busy! And yes, our females have synced together meaning that we may have puppies together, like last time. Making this fall pretty busy.
Did you know that a female dog’s gestation cycle is roughly 64 days? Making that approximately 2 months. Also, they only have 2 heat cycles a year, compared to a human which is monthly. Healthy heat cycles equals to healthy dogs.
Now, we can’t tell if our girls are expecting anytime soon but we are hoping to get a confirmation of pregnancy through an ultrasound. Stay tuned! We could have puppies arrive September-October of 2024🐾
Get ready for the new season🐾
Winter/Spring Litter Recap 🐾
17 wonderful puppies were born on February 24th, 2024 to two of our amazing mamas, Quinn & Harley. Here is a recap video of those 17 pups who went to 17 wonderful families!
Wondering what LA’s goldens do on their season off? Pretty much be dogs ☺️ we spend most of our mornings playing! But their “time off” should be coming to a close as we should be preparing for “in-season” females any day now! 🐾
Our littlest puppy wrangler enjoying some outside time with the puppies who leave for tomorrow ☺️ then we can have a break until our next batch arrives later this year ❤️
Videos of our final 3 pups ☺️
Our last 3 golden retriever pups are scheduled to leave within the next week! Enjoy this video at 3x speed as you can see what we have been doing the last couple or days!
I look forward to see what’s in store for my future sire, Blue!
The sun is shining and the goldens are out playing ! 3 out of 17 remain out of our Late Winter litter. In the next 24 hours, 2 pups leave us so it was very fitting to get in all the play time with mamas and Uncle Koda ☺️💛🐾
When the sun is shining, the goldens are playing 💛
Happy Monday! Here is a little video of some of our remaining pups playing in our yard!
Daily handling exercises are a must! We complete these daily rituals after puppy has played some so they are more cooperative after running the puppy energy out. Our pups go through handling exercise since they were 3 days old, but it shouldn’t stop here! Handling your pups should continue even after they leave our place. Handling dogs at a young age and into adulthood makes for cooperative dogs; even though golden retrievers are known to have great temperaments, we like to handle them so they are use to getting touched, patted, and loved on. Thanks “LT” for being a good sport 🐾
