With Christmas fast approaching Please Please Please do not buy birds as christmas presents for others or even for yourself without doing research and truly asking yourself if you are ready for the 15, 20, 50 or 100 yr commitment. Are you prepared to calmly react and reinforce good behaviors while ignoring bad behaviors(like biting) in hopes that they diminish or go away(because sometimes they get worse before they get better or they don't get better at all). Are you prepared for the constant mess(poop, feathers, food, water) everywhere? Are you prepared for the destructive natural nature of some xl birds like Macaws? Do you have enough time to give species that bond strongly like cockatoos, ring necks, senegal, parrotlets, quakers? What happens if you die(we all are going to die) and your bird is in his/her prime? We love our Birds, enjoy their company, Advocate for them and wish everyone could experience their awesomeness but the harsh truth is some people need to volunteer at a rescue or visit a sanctuary to experience these guys because not every person and/life style is bird friendly and thats ok. Do your research, visit a shelter/rescue/Sanctuary, talk to people who share their lives with these amazing critters, make a plan and a plan for your plan and a back up plan for your plans, know 100% that you are prepared to commit to the amazingly worth it full time entire life commitment of sharing your world with a bird before you on a whim bring a feathered friend home.

We hope all the rescues, amazing animal people, animals(domestics, exotics,farm and wildlife), residents, first responders, medical workers, linemen/women stay safe in Florida, Georgia, TN, KY and all states that will be effected by Hurrican Helene...our feathered babies are in their emergency cages(they are smaller, temporary and make it easier to grab and travel in case of an emergency) away from windows/doors. All wild-Side Critters are safe, secure and ready to ride out the storms.

These are our surrender forms. Once you fill them out please give us a couple days to look over the paperwork and get back with you. We run the bird rescue and are also Wildlife Rehabilitators so we stay very busy. If it is an emergency follow the instructions at the end of the form for immediate assistance. We do require surrender fees(these fees cover vet checks, food, toys, etc.) at the time of surrender and the amounts will be determined by the bird breed/size, health/age, do they come with supplies and caging or do we have to purchase caging and supplies, etc. Feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns.

Good Morning!! We would like to introduce you to our flock! Each one is a rescue from different situations. Stubz is still warming up to us and we are working on cage behavior/manners. He has cage aggression but once out and about he's as sweet as can be. Niña is the beautiful girl who started it all she loves to dance, eat grapes, and be wherever we are. Kiwi and Diesel came to us after their owner(who loved them very very much) received devastating health news and wanted to make sure they went somewhere where they would be loved as much as she loved them. Fred is our newest member who came to us after his original owner passed away and he developed some biting habits that made his new owner(who loves him and checks on him regularly) a bit concerned due to children sharing his space.

Welcome to our Bird Rescue Page!! The purpose of our rescue is to provide loving care to birds no matter their age, personality or experiences while also educating bird owners, breeders, and lovers. We do not believe birds should be flightless stuck in a cage to be stared at and entertain us. For this reason we do not clip wings and we only use cages for bedtimes and transport. They possess personalities, feelings and intelligence that should be honored and accepted. The amazing part of sharing our lives with these amazing creatures is they still possess their wild mannerisms and CHOOSE to accept you and ALLOW you into their flock. Our rescue is not a free service we charge surrender fees on a case by case situation and also charge adoption fees for birds that have received medical/behavioral clearance and are ready for their forever perches. The fees go toward their day to day maintenance, vet care provided, maintenance/replacement of cages/toys/enrichment objects, to ensure that previous owners do not bounce from bird to bird and perspective new owners are educated and financially/emotionally/mentally prepared to provide a forever home to these amazing feathered babies.
