Update on my sweet Boss Man, tonight he took his final breath and crossed the rainbow 🌈 bridge at 1039 tonight wrapped in the arms of his mom and dad.
I wish to thank everyone for their patience and understanding as we endured the ending of my boys life this week.
My clients and pets are not only patrons of my business, I consider my clients my family and will be there to assist anyone in need if I possibly can. I am so happy that you felt comfortable to come back in and ask for help and even more so that you made it home safely.
September Bath & Nail Saturday will be on the 14th beginning at 8am.
This day is for Baths and Nails ONLY. No grooming services, please do not ask.
By appointment only, no walk ins on this day please.

Most of my clients have met my lil Boss Man. In the last several months he has had a few strokes and he developed seizures. Tuesday night he had a bad stroke that has affected him in a very negative way, he has lost the use of his hind legs. Boss has to be upright to eat and drink due to previous health issues.
This lil man came to me a little over 2 years ago in need of a forever home and he came at a time that I needed him as well, as my Calico had crossed the rainbow bridge just 2 months before.
Boss will be coming to and from work with me daily so that I can feed him, take him out to potty and take him to the tub to wash him if an accident happens as he can no longer stand on his own and need a lot of assistance. I put his blanket on him as I do t think he’d like his diaper to be shown. He does not like it at all and wants to go outside but we are making every effort to make things as easy as possible for him.
This bit of information is given in hopes that if I take bit of extra time to get finished during my business day it is understandable.
I spend more time than I can say caring for every furbaby in need and now one mine is in need of my extra help.
Please be patient with me if I take a bit longer in the foreseeable future.

Lil Bit has finally learned that her toys are hers and she puts that paw down when I try to take it lol💕🐾
Pampered Paws is CLOSED TODAY August 28th as I am taking a personal day.
I will also be CLOSED Friday August 30th thru September 2nd for Labor Day Weekend and will reopen on Tuesday September 3rd.

Lil Bit came in from outside and she wasn’t in any of her usual chill spots.. Looked and looked and she is chilling beside the toy bin on the bottom shelf🤦♀️😁🐾. Silly girl
Tomorrow Thursday August 22nd Pampered Paws will be CLOSED for Dr Appointments.
I will be here to accept my 7am clients and will groom these babies when I return as well as a few afternoon clients that I have scheduled.

After a little adventure, a nail and paw trim, a good medicated bath and a bit of a trim of the face, and a full belly… Lil Bit is relaxing in her brand new bed . I think she’s had a full day❤️🐾❤️🐾❤️🐾🐾🐾
I do believe she wore herself out. Between her nail trim, foot trim and an outing she’s tuckered out🐾❤️🐾❤️🐾
Lil Bit has made herself right at home. She has an increase in energy and has been trying to play. She really enjoys when the door is left open and she can come and go as she pleases with the exception of the gates that keep her on the porch🤷♀️🐾 she doesn’t like that.
She is eating better and getting stronger every day. Today she finally had her first solid bowel movement since she’s been here which is a good thing.
Lil Bit seems to be house trained as she doesn’t like to potty inside but will go on her potty pad but will usually wait until I take her outside.
Today she is gonna get a bath and her nails done, hopefully she will let me get the rest of her face cleaned up.
Just an update for everyone.

So I ordered a special food bowl for Lil Bit hoping it would help her to eat more on her own and amazingly it has helped in a big way for her to be more independent to eat.
This lil gal amazes my heart. She is learning how to move freely without her prison of mats. She has found her voice and boy does she use it. When she screams all she wants is to be held. It doesn’t take much to please her. Just a full belly and some snuggles. She is learning that it’s ok to nuzzle her stuffies and make her bed her own.

I would like to take a moment to thank each and everyone for all of your kind words and prayers in regards Lil Bit.
It overwhelms my heart to know how my clients see me. With that said Lil Bit is working just as hard as I am to get her cleaned up and healthy. Without the support of my clients and our community I could not do what I do for our animals. So please give yourselves the credit as well as I am.

Ok folks here’s an UPDATE on Lil Bit. She is now completely free of matting and fleas. One of her front legs was wrapped in wire and matted to her chest. 2 small open wounds due to the wire but other than that just some superficial pressure sores due to the tight matting and some thinning hair due to fleas.
We went for a walk outside and she is just as spunky as can be. Now she’s relaxing in her bed with 2 of her fluffy toys. We are not finished yet, as we still have to get a bath, nails and a final touch up to make her even but now she is comfortable. Humanity before vanity.
Courtesy of my husband we also captured a few pictures of her eating this morning. She eats better from hand than bowl due to her lack of teeth and missing part of the lower jaw bone. However she will have a special food bowl delivered within the next few days so that she can eat on her own but still with some assistance.
Now it’s time for a rest as Lil Bit has had enough for now, no need to stress her anymore than she has been. I will post more updates soon.
Pampered Paws is CLOSED today as I need to be with my husband for some medical tests this morning.
I will see everyone tomorrow for Bath and Nail Saturday.

Lil Bit has had as much as she can handle for one day.. Being saved by the hands of many folks. Being worked on by a stranger, being freed from her own hair and elements collected within.. she has a full belly for the third time today and is snuggled in on a fluffy bed to rest for the night.
This morning my salon was tagged in a post about a stray furbaby. I really don’t have the words for my emotions right now. This precious girl is slowly getting cleaned up, unfortunately it’s gonna take a few days. She has part of her lower jaw bone missing and only a few bad teeth in the back. She had hair from her beard wrapped around one of her teeth so that her mouth wouldn’t completely open. She has urine, f***l matter, sticks weeds and no telling what else wrapped up in her matting. Her skin is in bad shape due to the pulling of the mats and fleas.
I thank god for the family that found her and made sure she was safe. I will update progress photos as we go along.
I just have to say that this is very sad, very inhumane, very cruel and very unnecessary. Never again will this baby want for anything, nor will she hurt.
Lil Bit is an absolute sweetheart.

I am planning to do a Bath and Nail Saturday during the month of August. I have not picked a date as of yet but will post as soon as I do. I haven’t had one in quite a while and I wanted to see how much interest there would be before scheduling.
It will be baths and nails only, no hygiene clips and no grooming.

Last day of internship for this young lady and it was an eventful one😊🤷♀️. Danielle learned how to do a proper Deshed from start to finish and on her own furbaby at that. Wizard was good sport and was definitely ready for a nap😍🐕🥱🐶. She even snapped a few pics of me teaching her how I deshed her baby🤦♀️🤦♀️🤷♀️😊. Danielle looks awesome sporting her new pet grooming attire and aquired her first set of professional grooming scissors today. I am so excited to have her join the Pampered Paws crew next summer. I am definitely lucky to have her with us. Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication this week Danielle.

Happy 3 Year Anniversary to Pampered Paws.. I still can’t believe how time has flown by. Through all the ups and downs and all the changes we’ve gone thru around here the biggest is yet to come as we prepare for our new location.. I am beyond excited for the new facility to be completed. Without the support of all my valued clients and furbabies I wouldn’t be here. I am so very grateful to each and every one of you for all you’ve done to support me and Pampered Paws 🐾 .. Here’s to another year in the books 🥂 and many more to come.

These lil tiles are such a handful but so fun to watch as they change day by day and learn as they go. I’m sure gonna miss them when they go to their forever homes.
