It is Swede Day in Rochester. I will be set up in front of the Honey Store during the parade this morning talking to people about my CSA service. You can sign up for custom orders that can be picked up here weekly, every two or four weeks. Stop by and say hi!

As always you can can pick up a 5oz Sweet and Sunny Sampler stocked fresh every Tuesday.

It is Centralia Farmer's Market day! It is my first market of the season. I am set up and ready to go. Of course I have Microgreens!!! Sunflower, Pea, Broccoli, Radish and Sweet and Sunny Samplers. But new this year, I also have plant starts and edible flowers. Come down and say hi!

Itadakimasu (an expression of gratitude before meals), compliments of my good friend Brandon.

He started with left over rice and made a quick fried rice with egg, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, and shallots.

He made the Tonkatsu (Japanese fried pork cutlet) using japanese panko.

And added a quick salad using (his words, not mine - but we couldn't agree more) "my wonderful friend, Heidi MacDonald's, fresh microgreens."

It is surprising how long our Microgreens will stay fresh! I packaged this 5oz Sweet and Sunny Sampler on the 16th of January and 26 days later was still fresh! I enjoyed it my morning smoothie.

It has been an exciting week in the coop! We got our first egg and one of our chickens grew into a rooster. Last week he looked just like the rest of the hens.
