This is a first for me.

A photo of the actual tattoo (which isn't new to me) and then I digitalized it and cleaned up the writing. This was a mother's words she wrote to her daughter. It is very special.

What IS NEW. I have figured out a great way to add color to a cutting board engraving. I had read a little in people doing this but the method was absolutely terrible nor was it repeatable. Standard paint will bleed into the wood and mess up the engraving. I have a few days in figuring this out, but I eventually came up with a near-indestructible paint fill that is near perfect.

I was told this was a big hit with for the daughter.

Since purchasing our first laser in 2017, we have honed our skills in some of the most challenging tasks. Reproducing handwritten notes, last letters to loved ones, and old recipes has become our specialty. Our all-time favorite is a handwritten recipe from a loved one or from Grandma who wants to pass on her favorite recipe.

We can take even the most difficult recipes, written on stained index cards, and digitize the writing for reproduction. Once digitized, the information can be created on a variety of items, from wood and plastic to stainless steel. We can also remove words, lines, sentences, and paragraphs, and even add signatures in their handwriting, even if it's not on the recipe. This is almost guaranteed to be one of the most heartfelt gifts you have ever given or received.

If you want to have one of these made but tend to forget about us throughout the year, here's what you can do: Contact me here or email me at [email protected] and let me know you want one of these on a particular date. I'll quote you the cost and put you on my calendar. When the time nears, I'll contact you, and we will begin moving forward. No money down until I begin the design work usually about a month before your due date. You can even change your mind between now and then. How simple is that! I'll remember for you!

Remember, the real work is in creating the first design. If you order more than one, the cost is considerably less (around half price) because you only pay for the design once.

I'm going to pass on one of the most unique things I've seen in Insulated Beverage Holders or what most call Can Coolers. A local taxidermist stopped by and bought me out of these coolers and wants more. Amazing how hot these one-of-a-kind holders are and I bet you won't find them anywhere else.

This is a tanned hide that the cooler is wrapped with. Holstein might be the talk of the town. He Absolutely can't make these fast enough. He sold out today already! So if you want one with a great story to tell, send me a message in Messenger. The cost is $55 plus shipping, packaging and tax if in Missouri. I'll play the middleman so you can pay by credit card and I'll take care of the shipping for him.

Understand there is no personalization or engraving and since this is a handmade leather product there could be some imperfections and it may take a week or 2+ before shipping. Pickup can also be an option by appointment only.

Some the the unique things I get asked to make. This is my granddaughter's first quilt she pieced together and then my wife quilted it. Lakeside was asked to make a faux leather tag for her first quilt. We have multiple colors and even some real leather. We have found an amazing product when ironed on, you can't remove it without pulling the material or the leather backing off. This is usually used on caps.

This comes in a large sheet in which we design and cut. We even cut in the stitching along the outside for the thread on this project. Sure....I know you are impressed with my engraving abilities but your comments are also welcome to comment on what a 17-year-old accomplished as well!!

Just a little something different. We have materials from leather to a metal look a like (copper/stainless). All engrave in a 2 color product. We are working on getting a red/white/blue material but is a couple months out. Caps are all special order and I can design about anything. Let your mind run wild and just message me. We don’t do high volume but just the guy if you need a few or just one…if you’re looking to make that special statement.

We were subcontracted to create multiple door and equipment signs. This material is tested and used in California on their solar systems for UV protection, however for the outside signs we used a metal sign with a 10-year warranty. Also added was a double side tape on the back side but mounting holes can be easily cut into each one as well.

We can make nearly any size but typically must stay under a 24" X 36" size and can go about as small as one may want within reason (1/2"). With all the audits of companies and expected labeling, these make a neat application. Even tags such as electrical cabinets or control panels. All we need is the size and wording. Attached are some of the many colors available but the colors go beyond that if it's not needed to be UV-resistant.

After our recent repair, we began discussing increasing our Fiber Laser power and we negotiated this improvement. So the past few days we tore the Laser apart and began the replacement with a laser about 2.5X’s over our current power. We spent today in alignment and focus of the light. This now allows us to cut through something like stainless steel fairly quickly.

Another great local company. Bug Out Pest Control in Mexico MO is who we use here. Awesome customer service. and they service multiple counties. I haven't seen a mouse around my shop or house for the past couple of years. My porch I would have to pressure wash it a couple times a year. Not anymore. It used to get covered with spider webs and bugs from the night lights. I didn't have to even pressure wash it this summer! Not a bug. Use these guys! And of course, if your business needs your logo on an insulated tumbler, we are the guys. Thanks for your business!!

Mindy always orders tags from us every year to put on her Handbags. These are already on the road to Florida. Nice black engravings on the gold and silver, however, I picked up some black this year and engraved them white. Ladies, go to her page and check out what she makes. This isn’t for the faint of heart. Sometimes people look at this and want to get something for a few thousand dollars off of Amazon and start a little business. Luckily I’m decent in electronics and purchased my lasers from a USA company that provides me a lifetime of free phone support. However, I had this problem already verified. It’s electronics. It has a lifespan. It will fail just like a light bulb. Then the question is how will you fix it? Not much laser repair help in the yellow pages. Bought it from China? Good luck in communicating with them. My businesses that I engrave for may require weekly shipments. I was able to contact my laser company and next day parts to me. Other than this post, no one would have known. I have repaired and am running without a hiccup without have to call someone telling them I can’t meet their deadline. This comes at a price but worth every penny for me and my customers. Remember this the next time you are needing products engraved. I’m my 7 years of doing this, I’ve yet to miss a deadline.

This of course is a knife. A big knife. I don’t remember….maybe 20” long. Engraving created with a laser designed for marking metal, we applied a permanent marking.

This was one of the most challenging engravings we have ever done. This item was extremely....extremely important to the individual...as well as for me. We sat down for hours going through how things should look, how things are worded, how deep the engravings should be, and which design needed to go on what side. We did this multiple times over several months. You can see in the one picture where I printed everything out and the person would come to my shop and we once again would go through everything as well as print and lay it out. We did this until they felt it was perfect.

I always want my customer to understand what their item is going to look like. The last thing I want is to engrave something and then they see it and say, that's not what I had envisioned. So I may go to some extreme measures to ensure the final product is what they have imagined.

The biggest challenge we had was how to engrave a painted flag on one side. This took multiple tests along with multiple failures on test boards. Then one morning.....it came to me in my sleep. I woke up, came to my shop, and designed the flag. I then engraved it and achieved the red, white, and blue perfectly. Our last test was on a piece of the exact wood with the same stain. It took a couple of these tests as I found there were paint differences as well. I don't claim to be a painter. However, the paint had to play well together and not run.

The lid had multiple angles with only 2 sides being the same. Words had to flow perfectly into the triangle and end up centered. Not only that, I didn't have a flat board on this top that ran parallel to my laser table. This meant I had to create an angled jig that once I got it set up, I could duplicate it perfectly when I went to the opposite side.

Once again I found myself working on a piece that was one of a kind, not replaceable item. This was personally hand-built by this individual and they had put tremendous thought into it.

I asked the person...." why me? " They said that they had watched my page and could see the attention to detail on the work I had done and knew I would be the only one they could trust to complete such a challenging task.

He said Charcuterie Board....I said Huh? I don't claim to be an expert in culinary, however, we can make it, or at least engrave it. The large Charcuterie Board was 24" X 16" X 1.25" Thick. You want an absolutely handmade custom one, I got the guy but would need a few weeks to turn it around. IF not, I have several in stock in many sizes.

Welcome to 2024. This is going to be a great year for Pam as she will beat this horrible big C. I donated to her a handful of these to hand out.

The story is...... before I retired from my old job, Pam and I worked together for several months putting training material together. While I had no plans to attend a Christmas Party, once I found out about her situation, I wanted to do something for her. I then made arrangements to attend at the last minute.

In my search, I again found this American Company and placed an order for this among other great items. I had to quickly create an engraving outline (I could have done better with more time), and get these engraved which I finished the night before. Whew!!

Hang in there Pam and hope handing these out provided you some cheer, happiness, and smiles in knowing every day, someone is seeing this not only here but on their key ring and praying for your recovery!!

For me....this isn't work....it's about seeing those smiles on people's faces. Certainly, Pam's appreciation, smiles, hugs, and tears were my payment on this day.....

It all starts with 1 sign! Everyone wants a sign with their name on it! Or maybe a road sign with their house number. These are American Made and Veteran Owned!!! Took me a while to find a great price on a great product.

The large dark green signs are actually the same as you see along the road. 6" X 24". The smaller light green signs are 4"X18". Pretty hot item this fall when I got them in. Great for whatever you want them to say.

You know the garden flags you all buy and hang out and the colors fade. Not these. Metal. Powder-coated, even the edges. Won't rust and the engraving will be shiny silver. We have hundreds of templates. Dogs, cats, about any type of animal. Think about campers having this sign in front of your camper with your name! I have a few of those in stock as well and they will hang right on where your faded-out old flag was.

Prices vary on size and if it is engraved on 2 sides. An example of the 2-sided Welcome garden flag size is around $65 and single-sided is $45 plus shipping and appropriate tax if required.
