So you want to know why the price of the puppy is what it is!!!!!

There is a reason our dogs are so expensive, these are not dogs that just sit in our yard, eat ol'roy and when the females in heat she magically becomes pregnant while we are off living our life. 63 days later, we don't come home to a pile of cash born in the dirt and cold outside. Where we wait 8 weeks doing the bare minimum and send them off into the world to cash in.

We, along with other reputable breeders, spend tens of thousands each year to care for our dogs, quality food, care, and vet bills and supplies. Not to mention health testing, and thousands in stud fees.

When we have puppies, we are with them 24/7. They don't leave our sight for the first 4 weeks, and we continue to be extra vigilant about their care and health the entire 8 weeks they are with us.

We monitor weights and feeding (every 2-3 hours for 28 days) we bottle feed, we tube feed, sometimes having to go the extra mile with antibiotics, fluids, and other medications on a puppy who is not doing the best (and no most vets have no idea how to properly care for or help us with neonates!)

We routinely put our needs aside to ensure the safety of the puppies, sometimes to the point of complete exhaustion and sickness for ourselves. We cancel our lives: vacations, events, weddings, anniversaries, and birthdays. Everything is on hold when we have puppies.

We are there 24/7 for our adopters for life. We are family once you choose our puppies.

We endure losses and hardships , happiness, and success behind the scenes of these perfect babies. Breeding is no joke. It's a lifestyle. A passion. A dream to better the breed.

When we don't have puppies, we still have daily upkeep and care of our dogs, family, and home. We also utilize this time for training and further educating ourselves so we can be the best we possibly can be.

It's not an easy job, mentally or physically, but we love what we do and we do it to ensure healthy, stable and well adjusted puppies are going to their new families who have waited and dreamed about them.

Long story short, don’t complain about my prices. Your barking up the wrong tree!

Thanks rant over.

As my phone is ringing incessantly and my messenger is dinging off the hook.....and the many MANY posts I read on how your kids want a puppy sooooo bad.........it reminds me that Christmas is just around the corner. BEFORE you buy that puppy that you and your kids want so bad, I would like for you to stop and reflect on a few things. That puppy is a living, breathing, being. Not only is it sweet and cuddly and playful......It cries, it p**ps, it p*es, it gets sick. It requires a life-time commitment of time and money. It requires love and attention...not just for a few months but for all of its life. EVERY year I see the same thing beginning in about February......post for sale or free.........rehoming that same puppy because there is no time to take care of it.......too expensive to maintain.....no one is home all day......and on and on. THOSE are just a few of the things you need to think about BEFORE you get that puppy that your kids are desperate to have. Yes, your kids are going to say " I'll take care of it", I'll feed it", I'll take it for walks".......and in a few months those same kids are not going to want to do any of that and it's going to be up to you. So, do yourself a favor, unless you can commit to a puppy 24/7, buy your kids a toy that will be ok to throw in a corner when they're done playing with it, or take it out to play with when they feel like it.
End of rant......y'all have a good day 🙂 :)

Did you know this ?????

Seems many people are looking for the cheapest possible puppy and get offended when a breeder won't lower the asking price. Here is how a good breeder feels about that.

Quality isn’t cheap and cheap isn’t quality! Not all puppies are quality, but if you have fallen in love with the puppy, then there is a reason why. Good breeders can tell buyers what makes up the quality that the buyer has fallen for.

Did you know:
Dogs don’t always deliver naturally and may require c-sections. C-sections can cost over $2000 with no guarantee of any live puppies or the female surviving.

There may be a puppy or puppies in need of assistance to survive. Your breeder may have to hand feed or tube feed every few hours around the clock, meaning that your breeder is on lockdown for days or weeks after delivery.

Your breeder may not allow visitors. They are not hiding anything, but for the security of their home & family, they don’t want to give their address out to every potential buyer. It’s a private residence, not a pet store., so people cannot just swing by. Visitors can also bring parvovirus into the house, which could wipe out entire litters.

Your breeder loves and takes great care of the puppies and wants homes for them where they will receive love and proper care for life.

When a breeder is told that the buyer is on a fixed income, money is tight, etc, the responsible breeder sees a big red flag. How will it be possible for this person to provide a great home for this puppy? Or take care of it when it’s sick ? Or provide it a quality dog food? If you tell me money is tight, I’ll tell you to move along!

Did you know that for every person who buys a puppy, your breeder has responded to inquiries from at least 20(+) other people who have no intention or means to buy a puppy at all. This takes up a lot of a breeder’s time that could be better spent caring for the dogs.

Did you know your breeder has researched the breed and has spent years trying to bring you the best possible puppies? This includes evaluating pedigrees, health records, etc. with the goal of producing happy, healthy puppies. Responsible and ethical breeders health test, DNA and color test, and these tests are not free.

Did you know your breeder considers no question a dumb question and is available for a lifetime of support?

Did you know breeders have feelings? Breeding can be extremely stressful. Please be understanding.

Did you know breeding is not a get rich quick scheme? Your breeder is very happy to just break even, if that.

Your breeder is offended when asked for a cheap puppy and she/he should be! Saying you are not going to show or breed the dog does not mean the quality of the puppy that the breeder has is going to be reduced. The breeder knows the quality and has priced the puppy accordingly, so negotiating in this way is insulting to the breeder and all she/he has been through.

So just remember this next time you ask me or any breeder for a cheap puppy or try to get me to lower my rates. It will not happen with me.

My rant is now over. Thank you for reading.

So we have a very rude person going on my post and promoting her puppy site.
She is a scammer so beware !! If someone can only go on other peoples page to promote themselves it means they can’t have their own page. It’s certainly very rude as well!! Just scroll and look at my post and you will see the person that’s doing it.
I do not know her and I’ve told her to stop.
Thanks everyone who supports my page.
Update: she has taken herself off Facebook under that name anyway!!
We as breeders work very hard to get a good rep and I’ve gotten to the point where I have a waiting list, I don’t need scammers hopping on my page scamming people.

Ok so I need to reinstate this: Do not contact me thinking you’re going to get a cheap dog at at cheap price. My pups are not cheap. You pay for what you get. As a breeder, we stay up at night, get bloody, vet visits at all hrs, sometimes bottle feeding, cleaning up p**p and p*e, worming and shots just among some of the few things. Not to mention sometimes going thru a loss of a pup or mom!! With that said, if you want a cheap dog, go to someone else. I have a waiting list and I do screen potential homes. They are my babies, they
live in my home and not in my backyard. I do this as a hobby and cause I love this breed! Now I’m not trying to be mean, just honest. Thank you.
