Incredibly heartbreaking day for the reptile world and for me personally. I never got to meet him but I loved him as if I knew him. I watched his videos everyday he literally became part of my family. My kid, and my mom and sometimes my nephew would watch him together. Praying for his family especially his wife and his son Naoh who is expecting his first child in the coming weeks so I know this is going to really hurt as well as their daughter and his crew. The world lost a great one today but he will never be forgotten and he will live on through the morphs he introduced to the world, his repterium and the Legasea as well as his family and fans! We love you Brian!

On behalf of the Barczyk family and our entire team at The Reptarium, it is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Brian Barczyk.

More than the guiding light of our organization, Brian's fervent passion for reptiles and wildlife, along with his steadfast dedication to education, has touched innumerable hearts and minds globally.

Our deepest sympathies are with Brian's family, his friends, and all those whose lives he has touched. We've lost an exceptional individual – a visionary, mentor, and friend. For those of us who had the privilege of working alongside him, Brian's absence leaves an immeasurable void.
As we navigate this difficult time, we find comfort in the memories and the lasting light of Brian's work. He will be deeply missed but indeed, never forgotten.

The Barczyk family invites you to join us for a Public Memorial Walk-through to honor Brian’s memory. The event will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at Heritage Church, located at 44625 Schoenherr Rd. Sterling Heights, MI 48313 from 1-3pm.

Meet Inky. Shes is a 9 month old wild caught baby blue tongue skink. She was given to us about a month ago from her original owners and she is doing SO WELL. I am so impressed by her. She hissed so much at the beginning but now only when I first pick her up. She is full of curiosity and likes to explore. Its hard to believe as a wild caught and having been only 5 weeks since she joined us that shes just the cutest thing ever and so much more relaxed than I anticipated! We Love our Inky girl ❤😍

This is what it looks like when the newest rescue finally has a full tummy with REAL bugs, ALL of his lights and isn't stuck in a less than 5 gallon tank. Meet Bodie just chillin in his new home with his now forever family ❤ I was in tears when I first saw him and his conditions and only a few days later since bringing him home this is the reaction. Love him, Love rescue ❤

I think I have seen this same smile on my 7 yrs old nephews face when he has done something he wasn't suppose to and someone is about to pay the price 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂 His mother (my baby sister) taught him this smile well! LOL

Not what we wanted to do on Thanksgiving week. It was time though and Im so glad we were able to give him the few extra weeks of the spoiled life he deserved. Tonight Copper will gain his Dragon wings and he will join Ginny, Finn, Sammy and Bandit into reptile heaven. 😭😭😭
