How to not get scammed buying a Maine C**n.
1) Pricing from a reputable breeder is much higher than from a scammer. More about how scammers manipulate Americans desire for something cheap at the end.
2) Demand FaceTime with the breeder before sending any money. It is really that simple. Any reputable breeder will let you see them, their cats and their kittens. It can be real time like FaceTime or WhatsApp video or it can be a video of the breeder writing your name on paper next to the cat you are buying.
3) Talk to the breeder on the phone. Essential. Required. If not, do not send your money. Do not be tricked by low prices in lieu of this validation. That is the heart of the scam.
These scammers are operating on a scale you cannot imagine. Not just cats. Everything. Any product in high demand with a high price or any product related to a category with high trust.
For example;
Maine C***s. Average actual price of $2k to $4k. Selling for less than $1k.
Softball products (pitching machines). High trust family groups with high community trust.
These are just two examples of thousands. We are talking about massive organized fraud in any category where desire for a thing is beyond affordability or community trust is high and non suspecting.
We are talking about massive oversees operations taking advantage of Americans. Why Americans ? Maybe this direct communication from a scammer will shed some light.
“You Americans always want things so cheap. You would sell your mother for a discount and a lower price. We make 30k a day off you. We are everywhere.”

Today we pretended to be our deceased 90 year old father and emailed back and forth with the scammers for over 3 hours. Somewhat comical. Sharing screenshots to validate all of the above and hopefully help prevent more people from falling victim to these scammers.
