Maddie is a charming, comedic dog with a muscular frame and an adorable, squashed head. Her endearing quirks, like her constant lip-tongue-teeth mishaps, will keep you laughing. Maddie prefers to be the only pet in a home that appreciates her "big mama" energy and independence. While she pulls a bit on the leash, she often looks back and finds her rhythm. At home, she loves chewing on toys (puppy-proofing is recommended!) and is generally calm and confident. She’s mostly housetrained, rides like a pro during car rides, and is best suited for older kids or adults who understand her playful nature. Maddie enjoys squeaky toys and can entertain herself, but she loves being chased when she's in the mood.

Thank you for Paw Pals Pet Sitting for today’s spotlight, Scrappy (A56945535).
Our partners at the Fairfax County Animal Shelter describe Scrappy as a young, friendly, energetic dog looking for his buddy to do adventurous stuff with and to be a couch potato with, too! He is up for any Hallmark Holiday movie with pets in it or romping around outside. He has been easy to handle here, and I would love more training to help him be the best he can be! If you have another dog at home, bring them in to meet our play-bowing, fun-loving boi!

This pet is eligible for an Adoption Audition! What is an Adoption Audition? It's a 5-day, no-strings-attached, trial adoption period. You can take this pet home to try it out! Interested? Come to the shelter any time during open hours and talk to one of our Customer Care staff!

Great news: Scrappy is eligible for the Adoption audition program. It is a 5-day trial adoption period with no strings attached! Talk to the Customer Care staff for more information during open hours of either shelter location. Would YOU like to spend more time with animals and get paid for it? We're looking for reliable and trustworthy pet lovers to join our team of dog walkers and pet sitters. This is a wonderful position for anyone looking for supplemental income (e.g. people with part-time jobs, stay-at-home moms with older children, retired individuals, and part-time college students with availability during the day).
