We have many lovely species of birds living at the farm from bright colored songbirds to hawks, owls and bald eagles. This morning we had the pleasure to admire this well-fed and gorgeous hawk surveying his kingdom.

Seychelles, our homebred 3-year old mare by Sinatra Song out of Ruchiga (Regazonni/Rubinstein), had a wonderful time at Dressage at Devon. Thank you to everyone for their support and well wishes at the show. Jet black velvet with not an ounce of white hair, she is eye-catching through her confident mannerism and well-built stature. Having waited almost an hour for her turn to go she could have used a bit more patience in standing for the judge but her walk and trot triangles were sure, confident, and bold earning a score of 77.6%. Bruce Griffin III did another fantastic job handling, having presented her at the Hanoverian Inspection this August. We are excited for Seychelles bright future both as a riding horse and future broodmare!

Seychelles blossoms as a teenager: Fox Den Farm is excited to share that its 3-year-old black velvet Hanoverian mare Seychelles (Sinatra Song out of Ruchiga by Regazzoni/Davignon/Weltmeyer) is now Elite Eligible.

Seychelles impressed with her elasticity, engagement, lift, and ground-covering stride in all three gaits. Although her first time off the farm since her foal inspection, she handled herself with true confidence both on the trailer and throughout the inspection.

Out of an abundance of caution as a result of the EHV-1 identified horse in Chester County and the need of local veterinarians and Pennsylvania State Department of Agriculture officials to gather more information on where it might have resulted from the decision has been made to cancel the fully booked March 12 - 13, 2021 clinic with Peter Hansen and reschedule for a later date. This was a difficult decision to make but a prudent one as the health and safety of our horses and riders is of paramount importance. Feel free to contact us should you have any questions.

Full board &/or full board/training available at Fox Den Farm. Well maintained facility overlooks the Brandywine River and includes a lighted indoor arena with sand/rubber footing, a lighted and fenced outdoor arena, a round pen, a very large grass area for jumping and flatwork, and a large grass “racetrack” attached to hills for conditioning and trail riding. 12 x 12 rubber matted stalls have large windows and are well ventilated. Professional training and lessons offered in a friendly, no drama atmosphere. Contact for further details and to schedule a visit.

Public trail riding is not offered.
