Draco 1.1 8/11/24
Draco out did himself for his second ever show! This 4 year old continues to amaze me, he was def at empty in his mental tank but he preformed physically for me.
It's so difficult with these young horses to know how long of warm up they are going to need. The last show was 90Β° and man was he spicy, today was a beautiful 75Β° and we could have been fine with a 5 minute warm up. Just never know
Thank you Northern Ohio Dressage Association for putting on a wonderful showing opportunity for us!
Thank you to owner Jamie Himes for trusting me to bring along her talented boy! And for saving my butt in the trailer π¬
Royal is really getting the hang of pushing to the contact while collecting and moving more forward! It's been 6 months and I feel like we've come so far π₯³ his momma couldn't love him more β€οΈ
With London turning 10 this month, I've decided it was about time he stepped up and we push forward! Second level is the goal and we have been stringing along Third Level movements!

Part of a training ride with Royal today! I'm working on having him sit more on his hind leg through my seat and not having to pull hense shorten his neck. He's starting to become stronger! As he learns to sit more and continue activity in his hind leg through coming back, his lengthen trots will become bigger!

Draco took a new big arena in great strides and even pieced together the 4 year old test!
Jamie Himes saw great things in him as a lanky awkward yearling and man was she right!! He's been a dream to work with, and we are just getting started π
Royal did amazing at this first schooling dressage show! We were a little concerned at the judges booth but with some persuasion he made it down to that end π
I am so excited for Amy and the partnership they are creating π
