Wally really enjoying scent work class held by Compass Canine!
Willow (pure bred GSD) had a pretty big prey drive, and would circle the coop obsessed with the chickens.
Fast forward a few months, and lots of owner hard work, Willow is now able to exist with the chickens *outside* the coop. Way to go Willow!

Jasper!
Jasper, a previously *very* reactive dog, does a spectacular job with her own personal “pack walk” with 10 other dogs.
Walking single file, selectively sniffing other dogs from the back, passing by the other dogs at a distance (20’), and eventually close (10’).
A couple of small blow ups over the hour session at the end, but quick recovery afterwards.
So pleased with her progress, and her owner’s dedication in advocating for Jasper.
Rocky
Rocky, the black Schnauzer, was VERY nervous/insecure for a couple of days here on his first boot camp.
Wasn’t taking food during the day. Didn’t eat from the bowl. Didn’t poop for 2 days. Never sniffed the ground on walks. All signs he was stressed.
But, with a few days of respecting his GSL (Grade School Level…all driven by TBTE), he opened up. Relaxing, and interacting. Taking things slow is the way to go.
Using the other dogs here as “models”, Rocky was finally able to start doing normal dog things.
And you can see the positive anticipation in his actions.

Oscar on the pack walk
On Oscar’s first pack walk several months ago, we could get within 75’ of the dogs without him blowing up. He did so well today!
First pack walk of the summer at Pinecrest, and it went awesome!
We are at a great PR event in New York for Vital Essentials, with over a dozen awesome reporters/influencers and their doggos. Talking about how and when to use food for training. And as a trainer, I couldn’t ask for a more wonderful, diverse cast of characters. Two, and four legged.
Somebody: “You can’t train dogs to not chase wildlife.”
Me: “Hold my leashes.”
