Meet the staff🥳

Meet Jaylynn! She is our part time receptionist that has been with us for a few months now and we’re so thankful to have her on board! 🐾

When she’s not at work loving on your sweet babies she’s spending time with her own four legged loved ones or spending time on the boat. ❤️

We’re all big smiles over here because we’re happy to report…🤩

Mullet is fully vaccinated!!! After months of working with her and practicing fear free medicine the team was able to:

1. Administer her rabies vaccines (legally required by LA law once per year).
2. Pull enough blood to run a heartworm occult. This test checks for adult heartworms and should be done once per year.

Mullet we are SO proud of you! A big shoutout to mom for working with Mullet at home and for trusting us to ensure she had a pleasant experience with us! 🐾❤️

We’re BEYOND THRILLED to say Fannie Mae is home!

On Saturday we got notified that Fannie Mae was finally reunited with her family! After 5 long, scary days a good samaritan who found Fannie Mae and has been caring for her saw a flier today, recognized her, and did the right thing by calling the number.

Fannie Mae’s parents would like to give a special thank you to the kind Samaritan who found her and was taking care of her, the St. Bernard Sherif’s office who worked tirelessly to find her, and to Pet Care Center Chalmette for giving her a well deserved look over by their medical team.

Frannie Mae’s owners would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Saunders, Catherine, and Maggie for their willingness to get Fannie Mae in ASAP and working us into their schedule to give us peace of mind that she is healthy. 🐾❤️

Lola came in for her cytopoint shot with Catherine and was so brave! Catherine and mom were able to distract Lola with lots of treats and singing instead of the normal restraint! We’re so proud of you Lola! 🐾❤️

Duke came in for his first visit and did not realize that meant he was getting a shot and getting his toes done!

Despite the sour face this cutie was such an angel for us! We can’t wait to see you again in a few weeks for your next round of shots! 🐾🤍

Meet Mullet! 🐶

Mullet is another one of our fearful patients that Catherine, Maggie, and Dr. Saunders have been working with to try and get her more comfortable with coming to the vet. These pictures may look normal to you but a few months ago we weren’t even able to sit on the floor near her!

Mom has been bringing Mullet in for “happy visits” with the team so she can learn that we’re not so bad after all!

We’re so proud of Mullet and how far she’s come and can’t wait to see her again!❤️🐾

Holy hookworms! 🪱

Catherine here with a parasite pop quiz!

Did you know that hookworms are one of the most common intestinal parasites we see in canines and felines? Unfortunately it’s true! Hookworms can cause a lot of issues for our furry friends. One of the biggest concerns that can happen is severe anemia, or loss of red blood cells. 🩸
