Reposting little Chip and now his brother Spike, who was temporarily lost but luckily was found. Both are 3 year-old Chiweenies, neutered and up to date on vaccines. They need a safe foster or permanent home, ideally together. Their current foster has big dogs that are too aggressive with these little guys. Contact us via message or call the number on the flyer. These guys are in Pagosa at present.

We are looking for a special home for this handsome boy. Radley has been a family dog, good with three kids and adults, cats and small dogs, a fun hiker and playful boy, but as he reached maturity he has become unpredictable with other family dog ( also male). The situation has become unsafe for the other older dog and family needs to rehome him. He has lived closely with family as an inside dog, going on trips and bicycle rides, so would be great for someone looking for an active companion. However, he is uncomfortable with strangers and crowds.

Radley is nearing 3 years old, is up to date on shots and neutered but needs a home where he is only dog ( might be okay with small female).

These two dogs were at Sky Mountain RV Park but were picked up by Animal Control and taken to local shelter. They will be taken to Espanola Shelter tomorrow. If they are yours, contact Animal Control at 505 753-5555 to claim before they are transported 🙏🏼🐾🐾

UPDATE: this dog has been relinquished by owner and is safe in new home. Thanks all! This cute little dog was found all matted and with burrs in coat around Maple in Chama. Does anyone recognize?

UPDATE: Looks like this little fluffball will have a new home! Sweet lost kitten showed up at Scott and Lila Flury’s home in Chama. If she is yours or if you would like her, please let Scott or us know. We will even pay for her first shots and spay. She is friendly and confident!

Here's Olga on her evening walk. She's headed to Colorado next week to a very gracious shelter who has made room for her. PLEASE keep your fingers crossed that she gets the home she needs soon. By the way, she really likes little Eddie, the pup.

Trooper and Chester need foster homes asap!

These two dogs are in desperate need of foster homes as their current foster home is leaving town for 4 months. Trooper, the white dog, has manageable Separation Anxiety and Chester, the black pitty pup has issues with strange and new dogs. Both are housebroken, neutered, all shots, but are not cat friendly. They have been fostered with several other dogs and did great. Please call Chama Humane Society at 1-888-666-0641 for more info.

Too cute! He still looks like a Dr. Seuss character, but now he can run without toppling over and his eyes open every time he awakens. Wish he had a some kitty playmates, because he is definitely ready to play. And momma is still going stir crazy, being a former outside cat. But all are healthy and safe.

A mother's work is never done! Her own babies are finally weened, but this evening someone dropped off this 1-2 week old baby found in a drainage ditch. Luckily this sweetest cat ever took the kitten as if it were her own! Seriously, this is simply the best cat. When this kitten is weened we really need to find her the home she deserves. Interested?
