Summer has arrived, and temperatures are rising this week, with the potential for heat advisories. Make sure to follow our summer safety tips to ensure your pet stays cool and safe this summer!
☀️Know the signs of heat stroke in pets: Excessive panting/drooling, stumbling, incoordination, difficulty breathing, weakness, sudden collapse, seizures, diarrhea, vomiting. If your pet is experiencing heat stroke symptoms, seek emergency medical care immediately
☀️Do not leave pets in parked cars as the interiors can quickly reach deadly temperatures in minutes, even in the shade!
☀️Don't forget, hot surfaces can burn your pet's paws. Always remember to test the pavement by placing the back of your hand on it for 7 seconds. If it's too hot for you, it's definitely too hot for your pet!
