What's cuter than kittens? Wobbly kittens! Apple Dumpling (orange) and Apple Pie are siblings with Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH). CH is a neurological condition that is neither painful nor contagious. It affects their coordination and balance but does not get progressively worse or shorten their lifespan.

These two brothers are currently living together in a foster home, and here's what their foster shared about them:

"Apple Dumpling and Apple Pie's Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH) makes it pretty hard for them to get around. They will need to be in a home that is one level and has carpet or lots of rugs for them to get around on. They are getting better at walking, but they fall a lot. They may need help with eating and drinking until you find something that works for them. Both love crinkle balls and wrestling with each other. Apple Dumpling can get bitey when he's overwhelmed or thinks your hands are toys, so small kids are not a good fit for him. Apple Pie enjoys soft, quiet tunnels and being held."

These wobbly brothers are ready to go home today! They can be adopted separately, but c'mon, look at them. Why would you want to break them up? Send an email to their foster at [email protected] to set up a meet and greet, and add these guys to your life!

🐕: We're not sure how these two feel about dogs. We recommend slow introductions.
👫: Apple Pie and Apple Dumpling would likely do best with older children who are respectful to cats.
🐈: Apple Pie and Apple Dumpling would likely do well with other cats. We recommend slow introductions.
🩺: The apple boys are 5 months old. They've both been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. They're ready to go home TODAY!

"You can't sit with us!" - Nebula and Vino (probably)

Kittens are getting adopted every day, but these two tuxedo brothers haven't been able to win anyone over yet. Their good looks draw people's interest, but it quickly dissipates when they react with fear towards everyone. Their markings and behavior make us think these two might be members of an all-cat rock band named "HISS!" When you go to meet them, you'll see what we mean! 😛

But Nebula and Vino are just scared. They're good boys who require a gentle, patient adopter who is willing to put in a little bit of time and work to earn their trust. It's not an impossible task! Both brothers have warmed up to some of our Animal Care staff, so we know it can be done! Try interacting with them using a stick/wand toy. These guys LOVE to play!

These handsome yet misunderstood gentlemen would be so appreciative if they could stay together. They're each other's safe spot and have spent every day together since arriving here back in June. With our current adoption special, you can take both home today for just $50 total! You should have plenty left to buy them some toys!

🐕: Nebula and Vino have never lived with dogs before. We recommend slow introductions.
👫: Nebula and Vino would likely do well with older children.
🐈: We're not sure how they feel about other cats, but they sure do love each other! We recommend slow introductions.
🩺: Nebula and Vino have been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. They're ready to go home TODAY! Also, we swear Vino has two eyes. He just doesn't want you to see them right now.

Diane and Annette are two peas in a pod, the yin to each other's yang, and most importantly, sisters and best friends. Just 12 weeks and 14 weeks old, these two have never known a life without the other in it. Though they're not ready to go home quite yet, we are sharing them in hopes of finding a committed adopter willing to adopt them both when they've been spayed.

Diane (left) is the more confident of the duo. She's smaller than her sister, but she's more confident, outgoing, and playful. If these two were humans, Diane is the one who would always answer the door, while Annette would shut off all the lights and hide under the bed pretending no one's home! Annette is more introverted and fearful. She tends to hiss at visitors and nuzzle herself into Diane for comfort and reassurance. They're almost never not touching each other and are usually cuddled up together with one resting her head on the other.

If you've got room for two, please stop in or give us a call at 301-733-2060 option 3 to be placed on Diane and Annette's list of interested adopters to be contacted when they're ready to go home. In the meantime, you can meet them in our Cat Adopt room today! You may notice there's a third kitten in their kennel (though you may not, because he hides a lot). That's their brother, Claude. For some reason, they're not as close with him as they are with each other, but he needs a home, too! Come meet the whole fam! Adoption fees for cats are just $25 through 9/20!

🐕: Diane and Annette have never lived with dogs before. We recommend slow introductions.
👫: Diane and Annette would probably do best with older children who will heed Annette's hisses.
🐈: Well, they clearly love each other! They may do well with other cats. We recommend slow introductions.
🩺: Diane is estimated to be 12 weeks old, and Annette is estimated to be 14 weeks old. At the time of adoption, they will come spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped.
