Otis was surrendered to the shelter when his owner could no longer care for him. He is a big boy at 116 pounds and does not know how big he really is as he thinks he is a lap dog. He is a lovable, gentle giant and would love to find his loving forever home soon! Otis will need someone that has extra-large dog experience and knowledge of the Great Dane breed is a must. He knows sit, lie down, and high five! He is a gentle treat taker. He has not been around small children so a home with older children would be best for Otis. Otis did get along with smaller dogs and was okay with cats in his previous home. Otis does have a crooked front leg that was caused from a break when he was hit by a car two years ago. It does not cause him any issues at this time, but he may develop arthritis in that leg in the future. Otis has been neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, Heartworm/lyme tested, and microchipped since his arrival at the shelter.

Dakota was surrendered to the shelter after her owner sadly passed away and no one in the family could take her in. Dakota is 10 years old and is a super sweet but shy girl. She loves getting attention and her back scratched! She may do best in a home without small children or cats. She is scared of loud noises and can have some issues with food allergies but is doing well here at the shelter. Dakota's world has been turned upside down with the loss of her owner and a shelter is no place to spend your golden years in (no matter how spoiled the staff and volunteers may have you)! She would love to have a home soon! She enjoys taking naps and going for strolls. She loves to go to the play yard to sniff all the good smells! Dakota is spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, Heartworm/lyme tested, and microchipped.

Buddy was surrendered to the shelter when his owner no longer wanted him. He is around 7 years old and a very sweet guy! He is an older guy that does have some lumps and a large skin tag that were checked over. The lumps are lipomas (fatty benign tumors). Buddy did have a senior blood panel done and everything came back great! Buddy would love to find a loving forever home where he can be with you and be your buddy! Buddy does chase cats so a home without cats would be best for him. Buddy did live in a home with children and did well with them. Buddy is neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, Heartworm/lyme tested, and microchipped.

Mocha was surrendered to the shelter along with her daughter when their owners could no longer care for them. When she arrived, Mocha was very underweight, very anemic, had a bad case of fleas, and had cherry eye in both eyes. She was not feeling well at all. Mocha was put on several small meals a day along with several supplements, she was treated for the fleas and bloodwork was done. It took several months for Mocha to regain her strength and to regenerate her red blood cells. Mocha then had surgery to correct her cherry eyes and to be spayed, when she was under for being spayed a mammary lump was removed and sent out for testing it came back as a benign mass that was hormone driven. Mocha has made great strides in her recovery and is now ready to find her loving forever home! Mocha can be shy at first with new people but with some treats she will be your best friend! Mocha did live with other dogs and did well with them. She does show interest in cats but can be distracted. Mocha will need someone with beagle experience and that knows that she will follow her nose! Mocha has been spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, Heartworm/Lyme tested, and microchipped since her arrival at the shelter.

Stacey was used for breeding and was surrendered to the shelter when she was no longer useful to her breeder. She is around 9 years old and currently weighs 69 pounds. When she arrived at the shelter Stacey had a very large mass in her inguinal area that was affecting her walking. The mass was removed and found to be a very large lipoma (fatty tumor). After the mass was removed Stacey was an all-new pup! She can walk without having to maneuver around the mass and can now enjoy playtime out in the play yard! Stacey can be quite excitable at times but does eventually calm down. She has been around children but may be too much for children not used to large boisterous dogs. Stacey would love to find her loving forever home soon where she can be the spoiled girl she deserves! Stacey has been spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, Heartworm/lyme tested, and microchipped since her arrival at the shelter.

Ghengus is an older gentleman that was surrendered to the shelter when his owner could no longer care for him. He is 11 years old. Ghengus is a special needs boy that is on heart medication due to the beginning stages of heart disease. Ghengus is a good boy and takes his medication well. He has recently had a dental cleaning where he lost 13 teeth that were causing him discomfort and is now feeling much better! He will need someone that is familiar with the Cocker Spaniel breed and familiar with grooming. He would love to find a loving home to spend his golden years in! He does need some work on his leash manners but is getting better every day. Peanut does have a high prey drive and would do best in a home without cats, and other small animals. Good morning folks, this is a PSA letting you know for the next three weeks we will be closed for public visitation. Trust this is not how we wanted to kick off 2025, but after much consideration we feel it’s best to be cautious while we medicate our kitties back to health. Our adoption counselor is still working applications and setting appointments to adopt. Please be mindful during this time we are trying to limit our feline intake.
