Cyrus was surrendered to the shelter when his owner passed. He was in a boarding facility for several years while his owner was having health issues. He is around 9 years old and weighs 74 pounds. Cyrus was very loved by his owner. He loves meeting new people and enjoys going for walks! He may be too much for small children as he does tend to jump up when he is excited. Cyrus is a nervous guy when it comes to going to the Vet, so he will need someone that can work with their Vet on having a low stress visit with Cyrus. Cyrus has been around other dogs and did well with proper introductions according to his previous history at the boarding kennel. Cyrus would love to find his forever home to spend his golden years in soon!

Ty was surrendered to the shelter when his owner could no longer care for him. He had a bad case of fleas and was badly in need of dental care when he arrived. He has since been treated for the fleas and has had a full dental cleaning that also resulted in the loss of 7 teeth and is now ready to find his forever home! He is 9 years old and weighs in at 9 pounds. He has not been around small children so an adult only home would be best for Ty. Ty has lived with several other dogs and does not seem to mind sharing his space with them. Ty is neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, Heartworm/lyme tested, and microchipped.

Enjoy the lights and decorations and cast your vote to help our furry friends. Here are the details: Register your home or business for its festive exterior light display, and the public will vote for the winners. ENTRY IS FREE! Properties in the greater Chambersburg area are invited to enter but must enter BY Monday, December 9. A Google map with all the properties will be released on December 11. Voting will be December 11 thru 22. ​Votes are $1 each and proceeds will be given to the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter. The winners (residential & commercial categories) will be announced on December 23 on the Chambersburg Chamber page and in the following week's Chambersburg Chronicle and published on LocalNews1.org and Franklin County Free Press. Tofu was recently returned to the shelter because he was not the right fit for his adoptive home. Tofu is a happy guy that weighs around 16 pounds. He arrived at the shelter, and it was quite evident that there was something wrong with his tail. It was broken in two places and had to be removed. This certainly does not affect Tofu in anyway his butt may wiggle a bit more when wagging his tail though. Tofu would love to find his loving forever home soon! If you have followed our page for a while now you may have seen our post looking for a foster home for a special pup that needed a Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy surgery in both of her hind legs. Well, she found that foster home and has had both TPLO surgeries done! After months of recovery time from the surgeries Daisy has been given a clean bill of health! She is now ready to find her forever home! We would like to thank her Foster Family for stepping up and being wonderful throughout her surgeries and recovery! We would also like to thank the awesome team at Skylos Sports Medicine for taking great care of Daisy!
Daisy is a super sweet girl that has been a trooper throughout her surgeries and recovery! According to her foster home Daisy loves to eat! She enjoys pretty much any kind of treat except for bananas! She says bananas are not for her. She loves playing with squeaky toys and loves getting her ears and belly rubbed! Daisy is not a fan of car rides; however, she will go on them. She does not care for the scary vacuum but in an avoidance kind of way. Daisy is also not a fan of fireworks. She does well on walks but will pull when she gets excited. Daisy has done well with other dogs and does not mind sharing her space with them. Daisy is a sweet girl but may be too much for small kids that are not used to large overly friendly dogs. Daisy loves being with her people and just wants to be wherever you are! She would love to find her loving forever home soon!

He did live with other dogs and a cat, he did not seem to mind sharing his space with them although he may chase the cat at first. Uptown weighs in at 13 pounds.
