1. Bring a toy/blanket/object from home - familiar scents help kitty keep calm
2. Your emotions influence your kitty: if you can keep calm, it helps kitty keep calm as well
3. Carriers can be a good place: feeding and sleeping in the carrier between visits can help reduce the stress of being confined. Additionally, pheromone sprays can help the carrier be a more welcoming place
4. Other trips in the car can help kitty know that not every car ride leads to the vet
