There's still time to enter the handling seminar sponsored by Champaign IL Kennel Club and presented by professional handler Norma Smith Aug 12 held at the Dog Training Club of Champaign Urbana. This is large facility, large parking lot, ample room for crating dogs and air-conditioned.
We look forward to seeing you at the Norma Smith handling seminar on Saturday, August 12.
Logistics Check-in/set up will start by 8:00. The seminar begins at 8:30. Norma plans to conclude around 4 p.m.
-Your dog is crated inside. Please bring a pad of some type to put under the crate.
- You may wish to bring your comfortable chair.
- There are no nearby food sites. Norma will take breaks. We will eat at the building. You may wish to bring some favorite snacks/lunch for yourself, although the CIKC will provide some food and drinks.
What to Bring
- Bring the show lead that you are using or plan to use at upcoming shows.
Acceptable collars and leads for conformation include: slip collar plus lead (loop or snap), slide lead (i.e. Resco), swivel lead, martingale (one piece), and martingale collar plus lead. Collars with prongs, electronic collars, muzzles, harnesses and head collars are not allowed.
- You may wish to bring the shoes that you plan to use for showing your dog. Not required.
- Water bowl for your dog. There is water at the building.
- Bait for your dog.
- Panty coverings for bi***es in heat are required.
- Copy of the current rabies vaccination for each dog is required.
