This is how I introduce dogs. New dog is in the crate. President, dogs are so well trained but they don't care about the new dog. New dog is a little nervous (panting/wide eyed) so I will wait until he relaxes to do free introductions.
Cher had a great time hiking today! #adoptdontshop #adoptadog
Peter has a meet and greet today!🤞🐾❤️
Officially a happy dog again! Following my fear dog protocol makes rehabilitation "quick" for fearful dogs.

Caught a cute Peter moment!
His first time feeling brave enough to check out the bedroom! Happy boy!
Peters 1 week progress report. Leash trained. Crate trained. Potty trained. Dog door trained. Will finally let me touch him. I waited 6 days to even try. Brushed him today and he tolerated it. Still grumbles when I walk towards him. Sometimes he will try to flee, but I step on the leash and he snaps out of that fear mode fast( If I did not have the leash on he would be able to flee and stay in a fearful state of mind and that is bad)
County had him at 4 years old, based on his teeth, I am aging him about 18 months old.
Thank you to everyone that has donated to his care! We really appreciate it!
With my fear and insecure dogs I walk in laps around the yard. Every day 3-4 times a day with the leash on (on potty breaks). The dogs learn by patterning to follow me. I can then drop the leash and Peter follows me until he realized the leash is dragging behind him, lol. He will also follow me into the house when leash is dropped.
Fear dogs run from pressure so teaching them to follow until they are trained is key otherwise you'll never catch them. This video is me turning towards him sometimes, which gets his gradually used to me walking toward him.
First thing I help fear dogs with is learning leash pressure. This is very basic and is the first step in teaching any dog how to walk on leash!
Just a gal trying to rehab dogs 1 at a time. This is how is goes with new fear dogs..
