Consulting on what breed of dog to buy, where to buy/rescue from, preparing your home for your new puppy and health/nutrition are just a few ways DOGGIE STEPS helps its customers. The whole family unit is encouraged to participate in training, especially kids, enabling them with leadership skills, confidence, and increased self-esteem. “It’s nice to see kids take ownership of the positive results that come from the training of their dog”, says Mark. Positive reinforcement, deep voice tone/frequencies, strong body posture, and consistency have all been successful training tools in the DOGGIE STEPS dog training classes. Dogs of the week! Georgia and Virginia.. english cream retrievers. Just Graduated Beginner obedience! Calmer energy..more focused.. haven't pottied in the house for the whole past week! Jumping less... walking on a leash like champs! Owners, Julie and Dave did their homework. Keep up the great work!

Congratulations to Graduate dog of the week.... Jenna!2-year-old beagle/shepherd mix. Started classes very anxious and fearful. Now, after completion of my 4 week 2x weekly In Home class, with the help of my dogs Angel and Saki.... Jenna is now able to walk around her whole neighborhood and welcome guests in the house without barking or being over anxious. 😃 Congratulations to Jenna! Keep up the great work :)

Congratulations to Taz and Ember on Advanced Graduation! :) Both Shiba Inus... class 1 began with Taz (M) being mildly aggressive to his new sister, Ember. As classes progressed, owner Alea.. learned how to positively socialize the dogs together restructure pack order to create better harmony. Graduation class yesterday both dogs
socializing with no aggressive tendencies as well as off leash play in the backyard! Keep up the great work! :)

1yr Puppies to DOGS update from customer Karen!!! Yeah!! >> Hi Mark! You asked for a photo when these pups turned 1 year old. Here it is!!!! They are gorgeous and hilarious. My niece visited a couple months ago. She had been traveling and had stayed in several homes with a variety of dogs. She was here a couple days and commented that these were by far the nicest, calmest dogs, best behaved, and the most pleasant to be with out of all that she had visited!!

We will be closed on Saturday, July 3rd in observation of Independence Day. We are wishing everyone a safe and enjoyable holiday. While enjoying time with your family and friends, please remember often our four legged family members can be negatively affected by the noise during the celebration. Often scared pets will try to run off to avoid the noise. Do your best to provide them comfort and a safe place to hide away from the commotion. There are several prescription medications that can ease their fears as well. If you have an emergency while we are closed please visit one of the three emergency rooms in the valley.

Please help me congratulate ...dogs of the week.... Mona (mom), Lola and Skipper(pups)! Within only 1 week owner Tara and her family consistently worked with calming techniques, sit and leave it commands.. resulting in a much calmer pack mentality! keep up the great work!
