Ok, wow, how about that last post!? We are all so excited and I have had several messages asking about hours, changes, etc. Here is what our current plans are for the transition period of turning the Mayo's Morphs location located at 2119 US 41 in Henderson, KY into the 2nd Metazotics.

This week and next, the Henderson location will operate under the same hours as it has been. Those hours are Thursday-Saturday, 12-6. During these two weeks (1/16-1/18 and 1/23-1/25), EVERYTHING AT THE HENDERSON LOCATION WILL BE ON SALE AT LARGE DISCOUNTS! We are looking to liquidate as much of the inventory and animals at that location as possible in preparation for a remodel!

Beginning 1/26, the Henderson shop will be closed every day EXCEPT for Saturdays, 12-5 for FEEDER SALES ONLY. If feeders are needed any other day of the week, please visit our Chandler Indiana location at 520 W. Lincoln Ave. This will last until Saturday 3/1.

On Saturday March 1st, we will reopen as Metazotics with a huge grand opening party and fantastic deals!

📢📢📢We have some major and exciting news for the tri-state area! In an effort to better service the reptile community while simultaneously growing it, Metazotics and Mayo’s Morphs have decided to make some wonderful changes for all.
Beginning on Thursday, January 16th, Mayo’s Morphs’ shop located in Henderson will become Metazotic’s 2nd location! 🤯

There will be a transition period that Clint will explain in a follow up post on Metazotics’ page, outlining what the next 6-8 weeks will look like. The plan is to increase hours of operation, boost the overall product line, animal variety, and feeders to help the Henderson community have all that they need. Because who wants to cross that bridge 🌁 if they don’t have to, right?

With the shop no longer on the plate of Mayo’s Morphs, this allows Jeff and Melody the opportunity to bring even more focus on the reptile shows they have created and grown throughout our region. This additional time can ensure high quality shows, potential new venues/areas, and the continued growth of the reptile community 💪 Just as these shows have already accomplished!

But wait, there’s more! Metazotics will now be the supply vendor for the Mayo’s Morphs’ reptile shows! Over the next few months, more and more of the shows will be layered into the Metazotics team’s schedule to bring reptile supplies, habitats, heating, and lighting to a broader area.

We hope you all are as excited as we are at the future of this wonderful hobby!

It is 4:15 am and I am already reminded why I love what I do and what the Metazotics team has built.

I am at the airport, waiting on a flight. Heading out to California for the Pomona Reptile Show! I'm wearing a Metazotics shirt and hat. As I pass through security, the TSA agent asks "do you still have jumping spiders?" We chat briefly and I head over to wait for my bag that is passing through security. Inside I'm smiling at that interaction and someone knowing the shop by my shirt. While waiting for my bag, the officer on duty comes over and shares that he was stationed in Chandler previously, how much he loves the shop, his sister brought his niece from out of town to see it, and it seems to be all that was talked about while he was working the area. We chatted a good 15 minutes and he was such a nice guy!

What a way to make this tired and groggy old man perk up and feel great so early in the morning! Thank you so much to all of our customers, supporters, and friends that allow us to live out our dream ❤️ You really do make this all happen and I couldn't be more grateful!

Hey all! With the extreme temps, the ice storm last weekend and the winter storm that is coming, Steve stepped up in a big way for our customers! With these temps, there is a strong possibility that our feeder insects would not arrive alive. So Steve made the journey to go get them!

We have crickets and superworms, alive and kicking! Well... the superworms are wiggling... you know what I mean! We also have dubias, hornworms, rodents, etc. Get in here and get your feeders! We got 'em, you need 'em.
