For my Arizona friends....it's rattlesnake season. Daytime, nighttime, as long as it's around 80 degrees outdoors, they're out and moving. Watch where you put your hands and feet. Keep garage doors and patio sliders closed. If you have to go out after dark, bring a flashlight. Headlamps are great! Neonate (baby) rattlesnakes were recently born and can be hard to see. Wear flip flops? Throw them in the trash and get some boots. Desert combat boots are as comfortable as sneakers and have padded 8 inch tops to protect your ankles.
I just saw a TV news story about a woman who was bitten on her heel while taking out her trash after dark. After 3 days in ICU and 40+ vials of antivenom, she was back in her yard in sandals......DUH.

HIKERS: Keep a close eye on temperatures today! Hiking has been a great escape for people and pups who need to get out of the house during this time, but Phoenix trails are closed to dogs when temperatures reach 100 degrees (today's high)... though hiking even in the 90s is just too hot for our canine companions. And one of my least favorite ones! That honestly infuriates me, I’m/we’re getting a divorce!!! So that means one of you can’t take one dog? Guess what I went through a brutal divorce that took three years. I fought tooth and nail to keep my six German Shepherd’s and 2 cats, so I’m sorry if I don’t have any sympathy but I would’ve lived in my car and I was almost penniless at the time literally made it work! there’s just no excuse to me for that. divorce is not death! you can take the dog one of you can until you get it figured out. you don’t dump it. you don’t do that to your kids when you get a divorce! excuses, excuses that’s all it comes down to!
