I’m so proud to announce the Versatility champion for our 2025 Celebrity Ranch Buckle series!
This is the grand prize from a scholastic series of four trial periods. To be eligible for the award, the exhibitor had to compete in two of the three divisions ( in hand, trail, 3-D dressage ) in three out of four trial sessions offered, and to meet a minimum requirement of participation in at leary two WDAAZ live or virtual shows (scores for this requirement not to be considered except to earn a minimum of 60%, unless needed for tiebreaker purposes!).
Total scores have been tallied and our 2025 Buckle Series Versatility Champion is Ronda Beery with Lil Bitty Trouble!
During the course of the season, students can be kicked out of a level. This happened to Ronda in two different divisions. She was kicked out of level two in the in hand, and having to execute difficult showmanship style patterns from both sides of a horse, as well as negotiate a challenging obstacle without a halter was no handicap for this pair! They also were kicked out of level one trail, which pushed them out of their comfort zone and into a world where they had to lope over poles and even a jump!
Complete results will be posted in the buckle series private group page. I’ll have another post later with a complete list of the division winners!
Everyone who completed the requirements of this program will receive a certificate of completion.
Awards will be given to all of the champions and runners up.

We have our final WDAAZ show of the season at Westworld on Sunday, November 16! We are in need of volunteers to help us run this outing! There’s a fantastic opportunity for somebody to be able to sit next to the judge as a scribe. If there’s anybody who’s had some experience doing this contact me. I can help you to be prepared for this position if you’re a little bit nervous to step forward!

Results are in from our fourth leg of the buckle series!
Exhibitors completed their presentations over the past couple of weeks. Complete results and series standings will be posted soon.
Congratulations to the division winners for this leg!
3-D dressage champion Chris Fixel- also the winner of the level one class
Level two 3-D dressage class winner Kenzie Fixel

Trail champion Kenzie Fixel- also the winner of the level two class
Level one trail class winner Lyvia Stowell

In hand dressage champion Ronda Beery- also the winner of the liberty class
Level two in hand class winner Emily Williams
Level one in hand class winner Lyvia Stowell

This leg was a little small with only a total of 27 entries. Every leg gives awards to each division winner and each class winner, and at the end of the series, there will be buckles presented to the division champions and a versatility champion who also participated in the WDAAZ live or virtual shows!
We plan to make a couple of tweaks and continue this series in 2026. This is a fantastic way to continue developing elements needed to be competitive in various disciplines, and also a great way for people that are new to showing or with green horses to be able to train and receive coaching on the training process to be prepared to go to live events! Contact us for more information on how you can get involved.

Can you believe October is almost over? We’ve had a very busy month! Huge congratulations to our western dressage team for their accomplishments at the show at Chaparosa Ranch last weekend- everyone had scores in the high 60s to mid 70s! Kenzie Fixel had our highest score of 75 on Obi in a basic level test, and it was also the second highest score of the day!
The final WDAAZ virtual show results are coming in, and again I’m seeing scores ranging from the high 60s to the mid 70s!
The APHA PAC World Western Dressage champion was Celebrity Ranch’s own After the Gold Rush, with Struttinlikacelebrity taking reserve champion!

Here’s my first ever live show ride of Level 2 Test 1 from the Chaparosa Ranch show. We earned a 70 on this ride!

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.
