Meet Dinky and Doodle! This pair lost their home due to severe allergies in a new family member and are now seeking a patient and loving adopter. Dinky is reserved at first, taking time to build trust, but once she does, her love is deeply rewarding-she becomes talkative and affectionate despite occasional hissing or swatting during transitions. Doodle, on the other hand, is playful and adjusts more quickly. Both cats love being read to (especially Harry Potter or dry reads about cat medical research) seeming to understand every word. These love bugs are worth the time and effort it takes to help them settle into a new home. 💙

A few weeks ago we highlighted Eomer (FeLV+) and Eowyn (FeLV-) Tolkien and today we have a very special adoption update! 🎉 This bonded pair were just adopted a few days ago after waiting about 5 months for their new parents! They are the sweetest sibling pair and absolutely love each other. Their new mom fell in love almost immediately.

These kitties were with a 1x foster who had offered to take them in after seeing a post on Arizona Rescue about abandoned kitties at a PetSmart in Scottsdale and we offered to back her. Little did she know, after a month of quarantine one of them tested positive for FeLV and the 1-2 month commitment she thought she was signing up for turned into a 5 month commitment. The foster was wonderful all the way through and made a huge difference in these kitties lives! We couldn't be happier for these two! 😻

In 2024, we celebrated a monumental achievement: 1,286 animals have found their forever homes thanks to the incredible support of our community, our dedicated volunteers, and the love we all share for animals in need.

But today, we want to take a moment to reflect on something even more powerful — the impact of saving just one life. Every single rescue tells a story of survival, hope, and a second chance. Eowyn (F, FeLV-negative) and Eomer (M, FeLV-positive) are a pair of 7-month-old siblings with a bond that’s as special as their names! 💛 These two have been together since birth, and their love for each other is unbreakable. That’s why we’re making a rare exception to our FeLV adoption policy—because they belong together!

✨ Eomer is the life of the party! Brave, friendly, playful, and absolutely adoring of people, he’s the kind of kitten who will steal your heart the moment you meet him.

👋 Hi my name is Scampi. I am a sweet older guy that is looking for a furever place to call my own. Don't let my grumpy face fool you, I really love people and enjoy lots of attention. I take a bit to warm up to people, but I promise to be your best friend. I have become the purr-fect boy and love making "biscuits" as soon as you start petting me. My favorite thing is to greet you with my downward dog yoga pose and be petted down my back. I love my wet food and will instantly warm up to you if you offer me it.

�Saving One Life is a volunteer run rescue and sanctuary based in the Phoenix metro area with a small but growing chapter in San Diego, California. We are a Never Killl rescue providing long term care for animals with ongoing health issues and hospice care for our cats with terminal illnesses.
