Unleash The Peace

Unleash The Peace Balanced Dog Training with over a decade of experience training all breeds and all challenges . I work with all breeds, ages, and issues.

I work diligently to teach both the dog and human a humane and effective way to communicate, using tools (slip lead, prong collar and remote collars), body language, praise, and reinforcement for good behavior. I am passionate about helping those humans who are willing to make a lifestyle change for themselves and their dog; owners who are committed to helping their dog be the best they can be by creating a calm dynamic between them! In addition, I take a special interest in fearful dogs!

New walk...WITH friends! Chip learned all about the working walk at our last session and absolutely nailed it! He was not pulling, was in step with his people and learned to relax and let them lead. He was also able to walk with Shorty and learn that we don't need to blow a gasket when we see other canines. So very proud of this guy! Keep up the great work, Olsen family πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

Meet Sabel.
She's a 1ish year old Boxer mix who is being fostered through the Luv Of Dogz Rescue organization and needed some life skills and behavior tweaks to help her become more adoptable.

At our first session, we gave her foster family a way to communicate with her clearly using pressure and release on a slip lead. We taught her her life skills (come, sit and down), along with manners at doorways to keep her safe and loads of engagement exercises with the humans. This girl is sweet as can be and with a little guidance, is going to be a rockstar! Keep up the great work Currim family πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

Meet Quincy.
He's a 7 month old Rough Collie and the absolute sweetest boy in the land. His family is very dog savvy, but it's been years since they've had a puppy so they wanted to make sure they all got started off on the right paw.

At our first session, we worked on conversational leash work to introduce Q to puppy pushups (come, sit and down), along with loads of eye contact to work on connection and impulse control. Quincy and his folks did amazing and are going home to practice before we add another skill to his bag ❀️ Keep up the great work, Johnson family πŸ‘πŸ»

Meet Kaya.
She's a 4 year old Chow mix who is sugary sweet, but who is having trouble managing her impulse control and excitement both at home and on the walk. She runs a bit anxious and it's making everyone a little stressed πŸ˜‰

At our first session, we made a few tweaks to get already great basic obedience. We worked on bringing her relationship with her human into a more balanced place, not an obsessed space. πŸ˜‰ Kaya learned about impulse control, puppy pushups, engagement, manners at the doorway and was introduced to the structured walk. This girl LOVES to work so she's going home to practice and will be back to find her chill at our next session πŸ˜‰ Keep up the great work, D'Antonio family πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

Meet Chip.
He's a 3 year old Pittie who is a good boy most of the time, but whose nerves get the best of him at other times . He reallllllyyyy wants to be a good boy all the time, so we began a behavior modification overhaul to help him do just that. ❀️

At our first session, we worked on changing the conversation with him and his parents... Getting all the humans on the same page and giving them a way to communicate clearly with Chip. We worked on basic life skills and loads of leadership and engagement exercises so that Chip can allow his people to help guide him when he's faced with a situation he's unsure of. Bringing things into balance by practicing drills, gives us a no pressure way to reshape his default behavior. Chip did incredible and is going home to practice! Keep up the great work Olsen family πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

On Mondays, we find our brave! Fitz worked hard on facing his insecurities and trusting that Mom would guide him through the obstacles at our last session. He was able to conquer the nervous voices in his head abs do hard things! πŸ™ŒπŸΌ Confidence exercises are so good for Fitz, but are also great for building a trusting connection between him and Mom. These two are thriving! Keep up the great work, Katie πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

Another pack walk in the books! Today we decided to 'Paw it Forward' and pack walked for our friends at 's K9 Search & Rescue. A giant thank you to Oliver, Rudy, Gerald, Ziggy, Loki, Rezi and Ace for so graciously giving $175 to other pups who need it. ❀️

I am so grateful to be surrounded by these awesome humans who want to help their dogs be their best while doing some good in the process! No matter what the dogs challenges are, these pack walks allow the dogs to have a positive experience around the very triggers they are so uncertain about. It never gets old watching the pups grow ❀️

Next month, we will pack walk on February 22nd at 9am so mark your calendars and stay tuned for details!

Meet Eden.
This scrumptious little guy is an 8 month old English Cream Retriever who is loved by a super dog savvy Mom, but who reached out for some help after his leash behavior took his Mom down. πŸ₯Ί

At our first session, we began to shift the entire vibe between Eden and Mom. We want her to be able to communicate clearly with him in a way he can easily understand, so we implemented some puppy pushups and leadership exercises so they could find their groove. This guy is super sweet and lives to please so I've got no doubts we can get them to a safe place πŸ˜‰ Keep up the great work, Sheila πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

These two just oozing confidence with their new working walk at our last session! We added some brain work to the walk routine, some advocacy and protocols for when we see other dogs. We also learned about manners at the doorway and walked with canine friends. Fitz is going home to practice in his hood. Keep up the great work, Katie!

On Mondays, we find our off switch. πŸ₯° Buckeye learned all about the place command at his last session, which will help him to manage his impulses and have some time to punch out and relax his busy mind everyday. Buckeye is such a good pup and this tool will help to shape calm on command so we can ensure he's a super solid adult dog! Keep up the great work, Pidcock family! πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

Your feel good Friday is brought to you by Buddy. This little guy has become the mayor of his Senior Living community and has lots of human and canine friends! I stopped by his place earlier this week and helped Mom to help him conquer his fears of the scary elevator so that he could join her in the library, the gym or the game room. πŸ₯° Giving these two cuties a clear way to communicate has given his, Mom a way to feel safe and empowered trip handle a young Pugger in the wild. Initially, she may have felt like she was in over her head, but these two have worked hard, figured one another out and are THRIVING! So stinking proud of them ❀️ Keep up the great work Buddy and Sandy πŸ₯°

Meet Gemma.
She's a 2 year Lab/Pittie mix who was having challenges reigning in her excitement for other dogs and people. She loves everything...a little too much πŸ˜‰πŸ₯°

At our first session, we worked on puppy pushups and shifting her and her families relationship into balance, where Gemma worked on her impulse control and engagement. She LOVES to use that smart brain of hers! It's crazy how exhausted she got from thinking and doing routine life skill drills! We are going to work on solidifying her foundation so we can add more skills to her resume. Keep up the great work, Richter family πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

The walk is the foundation of the relationship with your pup. Buckeye was introduced to the working walk at our last session, where he not only exercises his body, but also his mind. We introduce engagement, no pulling, structure and most importantly, connection. When you're walk has a teamwork vibe, they can be w enjoyable for both ends of the leash! Keep up the great work, Pidcock family πŸ™ŒπŸΌ
