Unleash The Peace

Unleash The Peace Balanced Dog Training with over a decade of experience training all breeds and all challenges . I work with all breeds, ages, and issues.

I work diligently to teach both the dog and human a humane and effective way to communicate, using tools (slip lead, prong collar and remote collars), body language, praise, and reinforcement for good behavior. I am passionate about helping those humans who are willing to make a lifestyle change for themselves and their dog; owners who are committed to helping their dog be the best they can be by creating a calm dynamic between them! In addition, I take a special interest in fearful dogs!

Astro learned all about calm on command at our last session! With regular daily practice and permission for him to 'be off the clock' both physically and mentally, this guy is going to learn to relax and will become a calmer dog overall. We can also use place situationally when Astro needs a little guidance and it's unsure...like when the doorbell rings. This guy is doing freaking amazing and I am SO proud of him! 🫢🏻 Keep up the good work, Anderson family πŸ‘πŸ»

Mavrick brought his sister dog, Lilly to our last session to learn how to walk with her calmly. Up until now, they've not really done lots of introductions with these two on account of Mav's tendencies to be super extra, rude and humpy with Lilly. Lilly is far too shy and patient to correct his behavior so we want to give this family ways to advocate for her, while showing both dogs what is expected and that the humans will handle anything awkward. We followed up this pack walk with a play session that Lilly initiated and they did beautifully! Super proud of this whole pack! Keep up the great work, Christina and Michael πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

Wolfgang learned how to manage his big feelings around other dogs at our last session! His puppy nerves cause him to act a fool, but we are well on the way of showing him how to be neutral and that we don't need to fear dogs...especially dogs that look like they could be family 😳🀣 Keep up the great work, Henning family πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

Meet Willow Dean (aka Willow or Miss Dean if you're tryna be formal) πŸ˜‰ She's a young Pittie mix who is being fostered by sweet friends of mine. She is currently afraid of most everything and if you know me, you know this is my favorite kind of pup. ❀️ Her foster family reached out for some help with Willows fear and confidence. We spent some time working on shifting how perceives humans and their guidance (we want her to see it as help, versus confrontation) and to begin to develop a trusting relationship. We then utilized conversational leash work to put that trust in action, guiding her through some challenges that she was uncertain of. It may not look like much to those of us with confident dogs, but jumping on the couch or bed had been terrifying for Willow...especially if a human was near. This day was huge for her and she let her brave girl fly πŸ₯ΊπŸ«ΆπŸ»

It's clear this sweet girl didn't have much guidance in her life until now. These types of dogs require a lot of patience and celebrating small wins! She landed with the best humans to help her to shine! This girl is doing amazing and baby stepping her way into becoming a regular dog!

She is potty trained, crate trained, is fantastic on leash, is getting braver by the minute and we learn something new about her every day! If you would like more information on Willow, reach out to to meet her!

Finn!!
This guy trained about 1.5 years ago and since then, there's been lots of change in his home. Just like people, adjusting to change can be difficult, so his family reached out for a little refresher.

We reminded him about the benefits of place and the importance of relaxing both the body and the mind everyday. We also switched up his tool for walks, conditioning him to the transitional leash in an effort to have him hear our guidance more clearly. Finn and his people are super committed to helping him to consistently be his best and Finn landed in the best home! Keep up the great work, Cheryl and Steve. πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

New week, new vibe! Little man Baloo actually likes other dogs, however on the leash he acts like a tough guy. πŸ˜‰ He did so well with his new working walk homework, that we added the boys to the mix to work on his reactivity! He did beautifully with Shorty, Luda AND a baby stroller (since he's having a baby arrive early next year). I am so proud of this little lowrider! Keep up the great work, Kolling family πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

Meet Astro.
He's a 3 year old Coonhound mix who is a giant scaredy cat. The challenge with his fear, is that he can be unpredictable with his barking, growling and anxious reactions around other dogs, people and new situations.

Astro is SO lucky to be in a home who wants to help him be the best version of himself. They want him to be free from anxiety and stress so he can just focus on doing dog things. ❀️ At our first session, we worked on beginning to shape how Astro sees the world. We began to shape eye contact with leadership and guidance versus confrontation. We also introduced conversational leash work, by practicing puppy pushups. We will use these drills to both give him strong foundational life skills, but also to shift how he sees his family... Not as those he needs to protect, but as those who will keep HIM safe. This guy did amazing, made great choices and even initiated a little relationship with me (which is NOT his norm) πŸ˜‰ Keep up the great work, Anderson family πŸ‘πŸ»

Meet Kodi.
He's a one year old Husky/GSD/Saint Bernard mix who happens to be the sibling to another pup named, Penny that we've worked with. ❀️ Kodi is a sweet and silly boy, but is having some nerves around new people, is a selective listener and needed some leash manners.

At our first session, we worked on giving Kodi and Mom a way to communicate clearly and introduced puppy pushups (come, sit and down). We also worked on lots of engagement and giving him a way to manage his puppy impulses. He did SO great! He's going home to practice his homework and will be back to tackle more school! Keep up the great work, Gale πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

Adira has been working so hard to manage her big feelings around her new canine housemates and has been doing amazing. One of her challenges (like SO many other pups) is feeling insecure on the leash. But when you still need to be managed, the humans need a way to do that (leash)... So you see the pickle πŸ˜‰

Adi had been previously e collar trained and we love that for hands free management and a little insurance for her as she creates a new normal. The trouble with her previous training is that the e collar was only used as a 'no don't do that', so it unintentionally created anxiety and compliance rooted in fear of the collar.

So we are reversing all of that! We use the e collar as a tool to communicate FIRST and the need to 'yell, No!' isn't needed if we do our work laying down the foundation. Giving this girl a whole new view of the e collar was a game changer for her nerves. Her family is going home to work on easy basic drills to reshape the conversation to a positive one. 🫢🏻 Keep up the great work, Courtney and Karl πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

To all the men, women and canines who always have and have had our collective backs - fighting for the freedoms that we so often take for granted, we thank you! Thank a veteran for their sacrifice and service, not just today, but anytime you see one. β€οΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ
