Unleash The Peace

Unleash The Peace Balanced Dog Training with over a decade of experience training all breeds and all challenges . I work with all breeds, ages, and issues.

I work diligently to teach both the dog and human a humane and effective way to communicate, using tools (slip lead, prong collar and remote collars), body language, praise, and reinforcement for good behavior. I am passionate about helping those humans who are willing to make a lifestyle change for themselves and their dog; owners who are committed to helping their dog be the best they can be by creating a calm dynamic between them! In addition, I take a special interest in fearful dogs!

On Mondays we learn to calm on command. Kodi has lots of puppy energy and some nervousness when guests arrive at his house. We can use the place command to give him something to do when people visit for sure, but in addition, when we take time to chill everyday, we also become calmer overall. If you give your pup the gift to calm their mind despite what's going on in their environment, you create a dog that can go anywhere with you! πŸ‘πŸ» Keep up the good work, Elliott family! 🫢🏻

Wolfgang waiting patiently for that weekend! He learned all about the place command at our last session. With everyday practice, this tool equals calm on command and also creates a calmer dog overall! Giving Wolfgang the ability to calm his mind is a win for the whole family. Keep up the good work, Henning family πŸ‘πŸ»

Meet Meleys.
She's a 1.5 year old French Bulldog who lives with two other canine siblings. Meleys is super sweet with humans, but is quite pushy with her canine brothers, especially around food, the couch and Mom.

We began by shifting the leadership in the home to let her know that she isn't in fact in charge πŸ˜‰ We worked on impulse control and connection with her humans so she is less reactive and can keep the naughty thoughts in check. We taught her puppy pushups, did lots of leadership and engagement exercises and taught her manners at the doorway. We are going to send her home to practice and slow down that mind of hers, to give her the tools to make better decisions 😊 She did super and her family is committed to helping her be her best! Keep up the great work team. Meleys πŸ‘πŸ»

Meet Rambo.
His Mom is a retired first responder and wanted to attend our training camp. Once I learned about some of Rambos nervousness around other dogs and people, we decided one on one sessions, in a mentally quieter environment were a better fit for them ❀️

Rambo is a one year old and is already on his second home. His Mom is a fantastic handler with loads of GSD experience, so I wanted to give her some additional ideas and my perspective on how I would help him through his fear. Rambos reactions to dogs and people are grumbly, but completely rooted in fear. Obviously, grumbles from a GSD are unsettling to dogs and people in the wild.

We want to change how people perceive him, because he is a very good boy and we want the world to see it! At our first session, we worked hard on leadership exercises to teach Rambo that eye contact and connection with humans is for guidance and not scary or confrontational. We also did a TON of confidence work. Giving this guy obstacles and the ability to find his Mom for guidance was SO cool to watch. It was like the nerves melted off and were replaced with badass vibes 😍 I was so very proud of Rambo and grateful to his Mom for thinking outside of the box and being open to letting me along for his ride! Keep up the great work, Stephanie and Rambo πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

New week, new walk! Kodi learned all about manners at the doorway to keep him safe when the door is open and to set the tone for calm walks, at our last session. We also introduced him to the working walk, where he learns to walk with his family versus pulling like a goofball. We work hard on connection and engagement so that his leash skills are on point and he's able to go on adventures with his family. I am so proud of this sweet boy! Keep up the great work Elliott family πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

Meet Mudiwa.
He's a 7 year old Great Dane who had been having a hard time adjusting to losing a canine sibling. Mudi is a pretty insecure guy and had always been the follower, but now that his older brother passed, he seems to be panicking under the pressure of being the leader. He has become nervous and unpredictable on leash, is a giant chicken and is absolutely terrified of men.

This guy needs some time to calm his mind and bring things into a slower mental space, so he can hear his families guidance. We worked hard on place and this boy did absolutely amazing! It turns out, he feels a sense of relief in place when he knows his only job is to relax. He even got brave and decided I was a friend, which melted all of our hearts 🫢🏻 I can't wait to see what some regular time calming his mind daily will do for his overall state of mind! Keep up the great work Denise and Becky πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

On Wednesdays, we learn to walk with friends! Rocky got to work on remaining calm and collected in the presence of other dogs at our last session and he absolutely rocked it! πŸ™ŒπŸΌ He was also able to attend his first pack walk with many other reactive dogs as well and did excellent! One positive experience at a time, we will make calm the norm for this guy! Keep up the great work, Netty and Matt πŸ‘πŸ»

In other news, it was trash day in my hood and our conversation is hilarious. Dog training can also be fun 🀣🀣

Astro learned all about calm on command at our last session! With regular daily practice and permission for him to 'be off the clock' both physically and mentally, this guy is going to learn to relax and will become a calmer dog overall. We can also use place situationally when Astro needs a little guidance and it's unsure...like when the doorbell rings. This guy is doing freaking amazing and I am SO proud of him! 🫢🏻 Keep up the good work, Anderson family πŸ‘πŸ»

Mavrick brought his sister dog, Lilly to our last session to learn how to walk with her calmly. Up until now, they've not really done lots of introductions with these two on account of Mav's tendencies to be super extra, rude and humpy with Lilly. Lilly is far too shy and patient to correct his behavior so we want to give this family ways to advocate for her, while showing both dogs what is expected and that the humans will handle anything awkward. We followed up this pack walk with a play session that Lilly initiated and they did beautifully! Super proud of this whole pack! Keep up the great work, Christina and Michael πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

Another beautiful day of dogs doing amazing! Today we pack walked and had an incredible group of dogs and owners attend to practice remaining calm and collected around other dogs and people. EVERYONE absolutely crushed the assignment! A very special thanks to Oliver, Rudy, Rocky, Pierce, Willow Dean, Loki, Adira, Kali, Gus, Finn and Tigger for donating $325 for the pups who need it with our friends at !

So very grateful to be a part of this amazing dog community and surrounded by people who are committed to helping their dogs live their best lives! So so many wins today! 🫢🏻πŸ₯Ί

Next month we will be pack walking on December 13 so mark your calendars and keep an eye out for this details soon! Happy Thanksgiving, ya'll πŸ¦ƒβ™₯️
