Wasabi is a four year old purebred Shiba Inu looking for the right home. She has been with her current family since eight weeks old and is up to date on vaccines.

Wasabi has completed basic puppy training as well as behavior modification work. She is very true to her breed: intelligent, independent, stubborn at times, and loyal to her people. She needs to be rehomed because her people now have a baby and being true to her breed she is not good with children.

Wasabi would thrive in:
• An adult only household
• No children
• No other pets
• An owner experienced with Shiba Inus or primitive breeds
• A calm, structured environment that respects boundaries
- someone with the time and interest to get involved in a sport with her to meet her biological needs.

This is not a bad dog. Wasabi is a Shiba Inu being a Shiba Inu, and she deserves a home that understands the breed and sets her up for success.

Please reach out if you could provide the environment she needs. She needs to be rehomed by the end of the week.

🎓🐾 Congratulations to Samson!
Samson officially graduated his Private Freedom Program, and his progress has been truly meaningful for the entire family. He now walks beautifully on leash, making it possible for every family member to walk him, including the young daughters. His recall is excellent, and he is doing a great job learning to stay neutral around other dogs.

This milestone is especially important to the family because Samson’s sister, who has since passed, struggled with extreme dog reactivity. Seeing Samson succeed where that was once a challenge brings peace of mind and confidence to everyone involved. We are so proud of how far Samson has come and excited to see him continue to grow.

🎓🐾 Big Wins for Mac!
Mac officially graduated his Private Freedom Program, and his transformation has been incredible. When he first started, Mac was so nervous about going outside that his dad had to pick him up just to get him out the door. At 60 pounds, that was no small task, and once outside, Mac would pull nonstop all the way home.

Now, walks are no problem at all. Mac is comfortable being outside, relaxed on leash, and confident in his environment. That new confidence has carried over into the home too, where he is calmer and no longer destroying things. We’re so proud of the progress Mac and his dad have made together.

Today in puppy class 🐾 we focused on touch handling and socialization, which are vital parts of helping puppies grow into confident, well adjusted dogs. Socialization is not just about meeting new dogs and people, it also includes positive exposure to different environments, sounds, and everyday objects, all introduced at the puppy’s pace without forcing anything. In class, we worked with items like the vacuum, opening trash bags, umbrellas and trash cans, clanking metal noises, the blow dryer, and grooming tools such as nail clippers, all to help build confidence and create positive, stress free experiences as they grow. 🐶✨

🎓 Otis Graduated! 🎓
Otis is a 9-year-old rescue puggle (pug and beagle) who has officially graduated from our 6-Day Program, and we are so proud of the progress he’s made. Otis absolutely loves going on walks and, true to his beagle roots, sniffing everything along the way. Before training, all that excitement could turn into leash pulling and reactive moments around other dogs. Throughout the program, we focused on helping Otis stay calm and confident outside while still allowing him to enjoy his walks and explore the world with his nose. With consistent work on leash manners and neutrality around distractions, Otis learned how to walk more politely and stay relaxed in stimulating environments. He worked hard every step of the way, and it truly paid off, congratulations, Otis! 🐾💙

Our focus is teaching them how to stay calm and attentive around everyday distractions, meeting new people, exploring unfamiliar places, and building confidence outside of the home.

Through structured training and real-life practice, they’re learning how to stay engaged with their owners. Training isn’t about changing who they are, it’s about giving them the tools to succeed.

Loki finished up his board and train with us this week! He went from a dog who would rather burn his paw pads on asphalt than move forward when confused to a dog who is simple to correct and a breeze to guide on the walk. Not pictured is the amount of clarity we built over commands and confidence and trust in his handler. With personalized notes to go home with, Loki’s family says he is a different dog!

We just wrapped up an incredible few days in Tampa for our annual owner's conference, and we’re still feeling the energy! From powerful keynotes to hands-on workshops, this year’s conference was all about growth, connection, and leveling up as business owners.

💡 We reset our culture.
📈 We embraced new tech & AI.
🎭 We celebrated at our Masquerade Gala & Annual Awards.
🐾 And most importantly, we gave back.

The biggest highlight? Together, we raised over $2,500 for Suncoast Animal League—a no-kill rescue that’s changing lives through adoption, therapy dog programs, and critical medical care. ❤️

This event reminded us why we do what we do. The Dog Wizard is more than just a brand—it’s a family dedicated to making a difference. 🚀
