Tis the season for swimming pools, barbecues, and... practicing mindfulness when traveling with pets!
Even in seemingly mild conditions, parked vehicles quickly become uncomfortable or overwhelming within minutes. This is our reminder to you all that pets should NEVER be left alone in a parked car, especially in extreme conditions. Help us spread awareness to keep pets from experiencing heat stroke this summer!

With the weather outside quickly warming up, many families are taking their dogs out to enjoy the sunshine ☀️ While we humans have the luxury of shoes, our dogs aren't so lucky. Every year, dogs are taken to the vet for burnt paw pads- something that can easily be avoided. By simply placing your palms down on the asphalt, you can test the temperature of the ground your pup will be walking on before you set out on your adventure. Avoiding long walks during peak temperatures and allowing your dog to have breaks in the shade will do wonders for them during the warm season!

AKC Fetch offers dogs physical and mental exercise while doing their favorite past time- playing fetch! Dogs and owners can bond while participating in 4 levels of difficulty: Novice, Intermediate, Advanced and Retriever. AKC Fetch is open for all breeds 6 months of age and older. Consider trying out this paw-some program with your pooch this spring!

Here's the answer to our latest challenge: Meet Nova the Alaskan Klee Kai! These striking dogs were developed in Alaska in the 1970s using Alaskan Huskies, American Eskimos, and a small amount of Siberian Husky and Schipperkes. Klee Kais are known for their bright, curious nature and thrive as family pets. They tend to be wary of strangers, but don't let this fool you- these dogs are highly intelligent and trainable. Klee Kais often excel in a multitude of dog sports thanks to their bouncy energy and desire to please. What do you love about the breed?

Here's the answer to our challenge: Meet Toast the Papillion! These little guys are well known for their namesake (butterfly 🦋 in French) that refers to their large, fringed ears. Excellent family dogs, these pups are the masters of cuddling and entertain all with their lively, bubbly personality. What might surprise some is their keen intelligence and natural athletic abilities. Papillions are highly trainable, excelling in sports like agility and obedience. What do you love about the breed?
